Hi Readers: I want to address the fact that there was previously another Chapter Thirty-Seven in my story. And there's a reason for that, as there was another Chapter Thirty-Seven prior to me posting this one. And there's a reason for that, which is due to the fact that I wanted to just reset this chapter; and I just didn't like the way that it went. So, I am going to re-write it. Hope you enjoy.

Sunday, June 2, 2019 –Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children PICU
She didn't get any sleep the night prior, but how could she? Her son was in the hospital, being monitored after he was found unresponsive and not breathing the day before. But she most certainly wants to make something clear before anything else, she is in no way shape or form mad at her family; they did the right thing when it came to what they did yesterday, nor did they do anything wrong. In fact, Noah was breathing the entire time but was just asleep. The doctors found that he was okay, and that nothing was truly wrong with their son; however, the parents asked to be monitored overnight as they were both worried. Worried that something was going to happen overnight, and that they would just end up back here. And after explaining that Matt had PTSD (and that they previously lost a child), the doctors understood. However, Gabby may have fudged a bit and said that he died of SIDS instead of in utero. But whatever. She wanted her son to stay overnight, and she was going to do whatever she could to make that happen.

And it did happen. Noah ended up staying the night, and was monitored by his doctors the entire time; which gave the mom the time she needed to sleep, because she knows that she's not going to sleep today. Today, she's going to be all over Noah as she takes care of him. As far as she's concerned, he's her only son right now. While that does hurt her heart because she loves Matteo more than anything, she just feels like she needs to be with Noah right now; which is something that her husband more than understood, and was going to make sure that she has a change to do all day if she wants to. It's something that he's going to promise her, because that's just what husbands do for their wives; they allow them to do what they need to do for the sake of their children. And since Gabby is the best mother in the entire world, and always knows best in these situations; then Matt isn't going to question her when it comes to what she's going to do today, and is just going to be there to support her as he rests in bed with her and Noah. Yes, he'll be there too.

Sure, he could do what Gabby isn't going to do, spend time with Matteo; but he feels like that would be him neglecting the duties that he has as Gabby's husband, which is to support her. While he would just be downstairs, it just didn't sit well with him; the feeling of being so close, yet so far from his wife and young son didn't sit well with the father. And that was why he was going to be with Gabby and Noah today as well, where he believes he belongs as well. But he's also done something else for her, well asked Antonio to do something else for the both of them; and that was set up their room in a way that they could have both of their sons in there with them, sitting on their bed while they just took it easy and relaxed today. In fact, the couple weren't even going to have sex for a while. Rather, they were going to take it easy and just relax; which is exactly what Gabby needs to do right now, relax. She needs to relax, and she needs to breathe for both her sake, as well as for Noah's sake. And he needed to do the same after last night, and a horrible night.

The reason? Matt had some PTSD last night, which is something that he decided not to share with his wife; she already had enough on her mind with Noah being sick, and he didn't want to pile on. While he knows it's wrong, he doesn't feel like it's the time to tell her. He doesn't feel like she needs to know, when she already has so much on her mind right now; especially not when this weekend was supposed to be a time for her to relax, and just take it easy. They were supposed to be waking up on the Yacht again today, but they didn't; rather they woke up in the hospital, under the worst possible circumstances. Their son was in the hospital, sick and as close to death as he's ever gotten. Well, other than the time that he was in the NICU after Gabby give birth. (Funny enough, his NICU nurse was also his nurse for his stay here in the PICU). And that was on purpose. At the end of the boys' stay in the NICU, Matt made a sizeable donation to the hospital as a thanks for all they did to make sure that their sons survived the entire ordeal.

And since he's a top tier donor at the hospital, he may have pulled some strings (other than the one that allowed them to land their helicopter on the helipad yesterday); and one of those was stealing Alicia Mallory, their nurse from their stay at the NICU. And boy was that nice to have a friendly face here, because it calmed Gabby down; and it made her feel like everything truly was going to be okay when it came to Noah, and that he would survive. And while that was something that Matt never doubted would happen, he felt the same way and was truly grateful for it. Just making his way over to his beautiful wife as she stood next to the bed while looking at Noah in his car seat, Matt smiled as he went to set his bag of clothes down on the bed and then stood behind her; putting his hands on Gabby's hips afterwards, Matt smiled as he proceeded to leave a soft kiss on the side of her head while wrapping his arms around her. Feeling Matt do just that, Gabby leaned back against his chest to feel the comfort that he was giving her right now; which she needed.

"Can it just be me, you, and Noah today at home?" Matt agreed with Gabby as he turned his head and kissed the side of her head once more, before nodding. "I already spoke to Antonio this morning while I went to get breakfast, and I asked him to watch Matteo for us; I told him that you barely slept, and that you just need to take it easy today. And I told him that I need to be with you." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, before turning around so that she could hold her husband close to her; wrapping her arms around his waist shortly afterwards, Gabby smiled as she looked up at the man she loves more than anything before kissing him softly. "I love you." Matt agreed with Gabby as she told him that she loves him, which is something that he most definitely knows; the way she looks at him just tells him everything that he needs to know, that he's the love of her life (just like she's his). They are the loves of each other's lives, and that will never change. Moving her hand to Matt's back, Gabby smiled as she leaned in and kissed him again. "Thanks for what you worked out between the PICU and NICU." Matt then decided to play dumb, not wanting to acknowledge what he did for his wife; after all, that wasn't what mattered right now. "I have no clue what you're talking about Gabby." Gabby just laughed.

"Yeah, okay." Matt smiled as he heard Gabby tell him that, clearly knowing that Gabby was aware of just what he did for her. "Are you mad that I decided to do it for you?" Gabby shook her head when Matt asked her whether she was mad that he decided to get Alicia to be their nurse, because it really did help her. "No, I'm not mad baby. I mean that because I was actually really happy to have her here with us. The way she helped us meant everything to me, and I am so glad that you found a way to do it. And I mean that from the bottom of my heart; I will always mean it from the bottom of my heart." Matt agreed with Gabby as she told him that, before smiling as he leaned in and proceeded to kiss the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world; well aware of the fact that she's always grateful for what he does for her. "Gabby, you're my wife; and Noah is our son. It pained me to see him here in the hospital, and I wanted to give him the best medical care that I could find; and that meant that I had to give him the team that we trust."

That was when Matt and Gabby heard their nurse walk into their room. "Well, as much as the team that you could. Sorry we couldn't steal Dr. Bailey from the NICU." Turning to look at Alicia, Gabby shook her head and smiled. "Believe me, I was much happier with the doctor that we had anyways." Matt agreed with Gabby as he let her go, which allowed her to walk over to Alicia. "I've known her for years." Alicia was a bit confused when she heard the husband say that, before going ahead with hugging Gabby; at the same time, she looked at Matt. "How do you know Natalie?" Matt snickered. "Natalie is from Chicago." Alicia then remembered that. "Yeah, I just didn't think that you knew each other personally." That's when Natalie came into the room as well. "Oh, trust me Alicia, I've known Matt longer than his wife!" Turning around to look at the doctor, Alicia smiled. "Hi Dr. Manning." Matt just looked at Natalie when she said that. "I thought that it was Dr. Halstead?" Natalie laughed. "I decided to use Dr. Manning to differentiate myself from Will here."

Natalie then proceeded to walk over to Gabby, before going to hug her. "Sorry I wasn't here last night, I would've came had I known you were here. I mean that Gabby." Gabby agreed with Natalie when she said that, before smiling at her. "I would've called but..." Natalie then stopped the mother, not wanting her to say anything else. "Don't say that. Gabby, of course you didn't call; you were worried about Noah, and that's what you should be worried about. I promise. The only reason that I know you're here, is because I saw your name on the board." Natalie then turned to look at Alicia. "Alicia, can you go get Mr. and Ms. Casey one of the kits that we send home with new parents now? We just started them recently." Alicia agreed with Natalie when she said that. "Of course, Dr. Manning." Alicia then proceeded to walk out of the hospital room, going to get one of the kids that they recently started to send home with new parents. At the same time, Matt looked at Natalie. "New kits?" Natalie smiled. "They have thermometers and everything."

Gabby smiled as she heard Natalie say that. "Who came up with that?" Natalie then got nervous and bit her lip. "Okay, just hear me out." Matt then looked at Natalie. "I just bought like 50. I wanted to test them out ahead of proposing it to you and put it on the corporate card. I've been waiting to get paid and I was going to pay it back right away, but I haven't gotten to it yet. I promise Matt, I am going to pay it back. I just saw it and...I thought that we could use it at the Clinic, and give it away when we have new patients. It's something that we could use, and I think that you may even be able to use it in the Ambo kits that I hear you guys are thinking of creating?" Gabby then looked at Natalie, not having mentioned anything yet to Matt. "Natalie, those were supposed to be used by you and the doctors here in the PICU for testing. That report is due in three months remember." Natalie agreed with Gabby. "I promise." Natalie then smiled as she walked away, going to get the kit for Gabby. At the same time, Gabby turned to look at her husband.

"Okay, hear me out." Matt just took a breath. "Okay, I knew about it, and I gave approval for her to do it. I read about it, and I really liked it. I remembered the situation that you had with the baby when you were still with Hallie, and I thought it might help if we had a situation like that again; but I didn't just want to put it in the ambulance without having had people test it, so I discreetly asked Natalie to test it out for me in the PICU. She asked other doctors, and they're going to give me a report. I didn't want to tell you, because I didn't want to feel like you wasted money; and I just didn't want to..." Seeing the worry and pain in his wife's eyes, and the worry that she would disappoint him, Matt set his towel down near the hamper in their room; after which, he made his way over to Gabby so that he could hug her and make her feel better. Wrapping his arms around his wife as soon as he was close to her, Matt smiled as he looked down into her eyes. "Hey, look at me." Wrapping her arms around Matt's back, Gabby looked up into his eyes and smiled.

Bending down, Matt smiled as he kissed his beautiful wife softly. "You know full well that I trust you more than anybody right?" Gabby agreed with Matt when he said that, well aware that was the case; and that it would always be the case. "You're my wife, and you have every right to use OUR money. It's not just MY money. It's OUR money. Gabby, if you think that this is something that can help other kids; kids like ours that may be in similar situations, then I want you to do that." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, smiling due to the fact that was something that she really wanted to do. Putting her hands on Matt's arms, Gabby smiled as she leaned up and kissed him softly. She then took things nice and slow with the man she loves, who just so happens to be the father of her children. "I love you, and I am so glad that Noah is feeling better." Matt agreed with his wife when she said that, before smiling at his girl.

Matt's POV:
As I looked into Gabby's eyes, I could see that she was still quite worried; and I just knew that she was going to need me to be there for her longer than she thinks I'm going to be there, and that's just until Monday. Then, I'm going to be in the office. But that's not the truth, and there's a reason for that; it's because I'm going to be working from home. As far as people know, I am still on the yacht; and there are very few people that know that I'm off the yacht, and back on mainland. And that means that I can most definitely stay home, and work from home. So, she has nothing to worry about when it comes to me not being home with our children; with her and our children, when that's where I need to be. "Gabby, I'm going to be home for a while okay? I promise." Gabby looked up into my eyes when I said that, before agreeing with me; after which, she got close to me and wrapped her arms around my back. After which, I wrapped my arms around her back and bent down to kiss the top of her head; and let's say that's just what she wants me to do now.

She wants me to hold her close to her, and she wants me to just make her feel better. And there's nothing like the feeling of me holding the woman I love more than anything in the entire world, which is exactly what I'm doing right now; I'm holding Gabby close to me, and I'm making her feel better. Moving to look up at me, Gabby smiled as he stared into my eyes. After which, I bent down and proceeded to kiss the woman of my dreams. The woman I love more than anything in the entire world. God, I just love Gabby more than anything; and I just feel so blessed to call her my wife, and the mother of my children. "I love you." Gabby agreed with me when I said that, before smiling at me. That's when we were disturbed by Natalie (again). Walking in with one of our kits, Natalie smiled. "I already spoke to my supervisor, and told her that I'm giving it to the owner of the company; so this is free of charge." I laughed when I heard Natalie say that, before letting Gabby go so that I could go grab the kit. "I would hope so." Natalie agreed with me, smiling.

I then went ahead and hugged her. "Listen, you make sure to take some time; and just concentrate on your family for a bit Matt." I agreed with Natalie when she said that, because that's most definitely something that I plan on doing. "Oh, I most definitely plan on just concentrating on the family right now." Natalie agreed with me, smiling as I said that. "Listen, you guys have a good day; and just take it easy with Noah." Me and Gabby both agreed with Natalie when she said that, ready to go home with Noah.

Pushing the stroller out of the hospital shortly after being discharged from the hospital, Matt Casey smiled as he held Gabby's hand and intertwined their fingers as a way to make sure that she just relaxes and takes it easy; after all, that was what Gabby needed to do right now. It's everything that she needs to do, and she needs to just concentrate on Noah. At the same time, Matt is going to concentrate on everything. Just walking out of the hospital together this morning, Matt, and Gabby both smiled as they were glad that they were going to take some time together. "Are you happy that we're out of the hospital again?" Gabby agreed with Matt as he asked her whether she was glad that they were out of the hospital now, which she most definitely was, because that was exactly how she felt right now. She was happy to be out of the hospital, with her two guys going home with her; because this was the last place that she wanted to be with Matt and Noah right now. She wanted to be at home, and she wanted to just take it easy with their son right now. And she wanted to hold him in her arms, while also breastfeeding him. "Can I ask you something Matt?"

Turning to look at his wife, Matt agreed with Gabby. "Of course, you can baby, you can always ask me something." Gabby took a breath and looked at Matt. "What do you think about me breastfeeding Noah for a while?" Turning to look at his wife, Matt just listened to Gabby. "At least, until he's feeling better. I just want to give him comfort and..." Slowing down before coming to a stop after hearing Gabby mention that she wants to breastfeed Noah again. "...I just feel like..." Getting close to Gabby, Matt wrapped his arm around her and put his hand on her butt. After which, he bent down and proceeded to kiss her softly; therefore, he interrupted her in the process. "Gabby, I think that'd be a great idea for Noah." Putting her hand on Matt's face, Gabby was a bit shocked. "You sure and..." Matt agreed with Gabby. "If you think it's the right thing to do for Noah, then I trust you." Gabby agreed with Matt when he said that, smiling as she kissed him again; after which, they both proceeded to continue walking towards the car so that they can head home together. So that they can head home, and just relax in bed with Noah for a while. After all, it's exactly what they both need.

Gabby's POV:
Shortly after putting Noah in his car seat, and packing up the car; I let out a sigh of relief as I was now in the front seat of the Tesla, and ready to go home with my guys. Watching as Matt got into the driver's seat this morning, I watched as he reached over and then proceeded to look into my eyes. Grabbing his seatbelt, Matt proceeded to buckle up while looking at me. "You okay?" I took a breath when Matt asked me that. "I think that I'll be okay." Matt agreed with me as I said that, before smiling as he went to grab my hand. After which, he proceeded to intertwine our fingers and just held me close. And I truly felt really great that he was holding me like this. This is exactly what I want to feel, and I am extremely happy over the fact that we're on our way home with Noah; as it's where we need to be with him right now. We need to be at home, and we need to just relax with each other. "Gabby, I promise that everything's going to be okay; and that he's going to be okay. And I'm not going to work until he's okay." I agreed with Matt, smiling at him.

After which, we both just looked at each other in a way that made me really happy. He's just the best husband in the entire world, and I am so proud to have him as my husband; and I truly believe that Matt knows that, that he knows that I love him more than anything. And right now, that's all I want to think about. Stroking my hand as he held me close, Matt smiled before leaning over and then went ahead to leave a soft kiss on my forehead. "I love you." I agreed with Matt as he told me that he loves me. "I love you too." Matt agreed with me as I said that, before smiling as he let me hand go. After which, he started the car so that we could both leave today; so that we could go home and just relax with Noah. After all, that's exactly what we need to do with our baby boy.
