Also, I have decided to skip a bit after this chapter as I want to do a romantic thing, but I need to wait until a certain date. So, enjoy the story.

The feeling that came with being alone with Matt was really nice. And even better, she got to have all of Matt's undivided attention on her; and that's something that she feels like she needs at the moment, especially since her father is MIA. So, for her mother to be okay with taking the boys (after she made some bottles); it's just perfect, and there truly is nothing better than the feeling that she had right now. And it's not like she was far, nor was that last feeding the last time that she and Matt were going to see the boys today; they would be back up here tonight, and every night for a few days. However, her mom was just going to take care of them for a couple days. At first, she felt so guilty for doing that; but she feels like this is what she needs right now. She needs some alone time with her husband, so that she can really digest just everything that's gone on lately; and that requires her to be alone with Matt, as she feels emotionally drained at the moment (for some reason). But the truth is that she hates that she feels this way, because this is not how she should be feeling right now.
She just gave birth to her twins, she has an incredibly loving husband, and he loves her more than anything in the entire world; she's found success in her new clothing line, and she's happy in the life that she and Matt have both with each other, as well as their sons. But recently, there's just something that seems to make her feel a bit weird; and she doesn't like the feeling one bit, which is why she needs Matt right now. She needs Matt to hold her in his arms, and she needs to talk to him without any disturbances; and that's exactly what she's going to get now that their sons are downstairs, just being taken care of by her mother and nice. Heck, if they want to bring them into the guest room, she definitely would not complain. Gabby just feels like she needs this time with Matt right now, and she truly believes that he knows that; which is why he was the one that insisted that they take this time, and that's exactly what they're going to do. They're going to take some time alone until tomorrow. Their first time alone (without the boys) in 10 days. This is what she needs, she needs Matt.
And she also needs to thank him, thank him for giving away precious time with their newborn sons; just so that they can take time together, while they hold each other in bed until tomorrow. But before she said anything, she wanted to enjoy the show that was happening in front of her; the show that involved her husband taking off his pants, which was definitely something that she enjoyed. But unfortunately, she did miss him taking off his shirt; not that it was a big deal, as watching him walk around shirtless is still good. Even when he's not taking off his shirt, he flexes sometimes; and she absolutely loves it. Her husband is so muscular, and she's glad that he works out. But she also knows that Matt working out is not just for her benefit, rather it's also for his benefit; more specifically, for the benefit of his mental health. The mental health which has taken a real hit in the past couple months, and which she knows that he's been worried about for a while; while also worrying about so much more. They both have so much on their plates, that Gabby thinks that this is just what they need.
Turning around to look at the woman he loves as she laid down in bed this afternoon, Matt smiled as he could tell that she was happy that they were alone now; this is exactly what the couple need, and they just need to rest and take it easy. "You feel better?" Gabby smiled when Matt asked her whether she feels better, because she most definitely does feel better. There's just something about them being alone that makes her feel better, as it means that they can both concentrate all of their love and attention on each other; which is exactly what Matt plans on doing with Gabby, and that starts right now. Walking over to Gabby on her side of the bed, Matt smiled as he proceeded to sit down next to her and just smiled as he put his hand on her stomach. Putting her hand on Matt's, Gabby smiled due to the fact that she loves him more than anything in the entire world; and she's glad that this is what they're in the midst of doing right now. "You okay with us taking this time?" Moving his hand to Gabby's neck, Matt smiled as he proceeded to stroke her cheek as they both held each other right now.
"Oh, I'm more than happy that we're alone; and that's because I know you need this Gabby. You need some time with me." Gabby agreed with Matt as he told her that, as that was definitely the truth. "I would just hate if you resented me for it." Matt was confused when he heard Gabby say that. "Here, I'm going to climb into bed; then I want you in my arms, cuddling up to me as you relax. Then, we're going to talk about why in the world you think I could ever resent you babe." Gabby took a breath as Matt told her that. "It's because I'm taking you away from living your dream, of being with the..." Bending down, Matt proceeded to kiss the woman he loves. "Like I said, let's get in bed; and then we can talk okay Gabby?" Gabby agreed with Matt as he told her that they can talk once they're in bed with each other, as that was definitely something that she wanted to do with the man she loves; she wants to talk to him as they figure a bunch of things out. She just hopes that they're okay. She doesn't want to scare her husband but...her mind is just wandering right now.
And that's where Matt's going to come in. He's going to hold the woman he loves close to him, and he's going to make sure that they talk; he's going to make sure that they talk so that she feels okay, and so that she feels rested. Matt can clearly see that Gabby is also quite tired, which is another reason why the couple are taking some time as just husband and wife; they need to relax, and they need to take it easy. Gabby needs to get some rest, which is something that Matt wishes that (a) he'd noticed sooner, or (b) Gabby would've told him that she needed time alone with him so that she could rest. But now, they were taking this time alone; and that's all that matters, because it means that Gabby is resting as they take time alone with each other. Time that they haven't really had since Matteo and Noah were born, and that's all thanks to Camila. For her to take the boys overnight (and for a couple days) is exactly what they need right now. Some quiet time as husband and wife.
And Gabby needed that more than anybody (in Matt's opinion), which is one of the reasons that Matt ended up laughing a bit when he heard Gabby moan as she laid down in his arms; which could only make him believe that she was happy, and that this was exactly what she's been needing for a while. Going to grab the covers, Matt smiled as he tugged them up on top of the both of them so that he can just hold his beautiful wife close to him; so that he can run his hand up and down her back, and so that he can make sure that Gabby just takes it easy and relaxes right now. That's what his wife needs, and he's well aware that's the case. He just wishes that Gabby would've told him that it was what she needed. Had he known...you know what, they're past it; and they're alone now, and that's all that matters at the end of the day. Turning his head, Matt proceeded to leave a soft kiss on her forehead, and let's just say that put a big smile on his wife's face; a smile he loves to see whenever he can. In the past couple days, he's seen it many times; but that's only when she's with the boys.
And that's starting to worry him, as he doesn't want her to only be happy when she's with the boys; he wants Gabby to always be happy, because he thinks that they have a great life with each other. If he's wrong, then he hopes that she tells him; then, he can fix whatever's wrong...well, he can try. There's just something in him, that makes him believe that this isn't just related to the fact that her father's missing. And while that is a big part of it, there are probably other things that are on his wife mind at the moment; things that the husband plans on learning about. "So, you comfortable?" Looking up at Matt, Gabby smiled as she was very comfortable in her dreamy husband's arms. "Oh, I am extremely comfortable in your arms." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, glad that was the case; if there was anything that he wanted right now, it was certainly that she was comfortable in his arms. If she wasn't comfortable, then he wouldn't be doing his job; his job right now is to give her the comfort that she needs, and he was planning on doing it for a while. And not just at this moment.
"So, do you want to talk about anything? Or would you rather just take it easy and relax?" Gabby took a breath as Matt asked her whether she just wants to relax, or if she needs to talk about something. And while she wishes that she could just ignore everything right now, she knows that she needs to talk to someone about this. And if it's going to be anybody, then it might as well be her loving husband. "You already know what's on my mind babe, how I'm worried." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, turning his head before pressing his lips to his wife's forehead. After which, he just looked down into her eyes; the eyes that he loves more than anything in the entire world. "I swear, you are very beautiful, and I am so glad that you're just taking it easy in my arms right now. I know that this is what you need babe." Gabby agreed with Matt as he told her that this is what she needs, because she knows that it definitely is. "Thanks for helping us get this time." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, wrapping his arm around her once more before kissing her forehead softly today.
"I hope you know that you can always ask me to take time alone, if you need it." Gabby agreed with Matt as he told her that, well aware that was the case; but at the same time, she just wishes that she didn't have to take all this time alone. She would much rather concentrate on their sons, and that was something that she really does want to do. "I know, I just hate that it means that I need to step away from being with the boys; but I do think that I need it. I need to spend time with you, especially after that hospital stay, and then just...I feel like this is really the first alone time that we've had in over a year." Matt turned his head as Gabby said that, before pressing his lips to her forehead. "Yeah, I can understand why you would say that; because I feel the same way. I mean, we did have alone time during the pregnancy; but it just felt different, and it didn't feel the same. We were alone, but we weren't alone. We weren't just thinking about each other, and just each other."
Gabby took a breath when she heard Matt say that, as that was definitely something that was on her mind right now. "Do you ever think that we're going to be able to shut off our minds and concentrate solely on each other ever again? Or do you think that we're always going to think about the boys?" Matt sighed as he heard Gabby say that, clearly hearing the worries in his wife's voice. "I think that we'll need to find a balance, and we can do that; Gabby, we both know that it's not in our personality to just ignore the fact that we're parents. If our kids need us, we would jump at the chance to be with them. That's just who we are." Gabby agreed with Matt as he told her that, well aware that was who they were. And the truth was, she was happy that was who they were, because it makes them good parents in her opinion. "And that's just the life that we live now, because we're parents baby." Gabby agreed with Matt as he told her that. "I was just thinking the same thing."
Matt laughed as he heard Gabby say that, still very happy to be alone with her. After all, this was just what they wanted to do. They want to hold each other close. "If only you were further away from you giving birth, then we could take a bath together; we could take a bath, and I could wash you." Gabby smirked as she heard Matt say that. "If only we could have sex, because I could definitely go for some sex." Matt laughed. "They say at least not until six weeks after giving birth." Gabby agreed. "Then I can't wait for 6 weeks, then we can definitely make a nice date out of it." Matt agreed, smirking as he heard Gabby say that; definitely ready for that. "Maybe a weekend alone instead of a day alone?" Gabby smirked, agreeing with Matt.
