Y/n's pov.
" We'll continue on the next class " Derek said and we all close our books.
Derek or the others weren't lying, he is an excellent potion teacher, I learned new things such as mandrake root which is an annoying root and other things. I got off my seat and about to leave when I felt a bump on my shoulder making me crash the table next to me, I hold the edge so I won't hurt myself and I look over to see Rowena walking away with her boots clicking, I scoff and adjust my skirt before I walk away.
" Y/n stay " I internally groan and turn around to Derek who's on his desk reading a sheet of paper.
" What old man? " I asked.
" You suck " he turns the sheet of paper to me.
My answer sheet paper, five marks out of twenty.
" Fuck you " I said and he put the paper down on the table.
" So, why are you really here? " He asked as he holds the quill.
" Like Mrs. Zvahl said, learn alchemy, earn money and pay your broke your ass " I said.
" I'm a teacher, at least I don't scoop out pigs shit " he said.
" Yeah yeah, if your going to make fun of me I'm just gonna go " I walk away.
" Does your mother know your here? " I stop in place and grip the books in my hands tightly.
" Because I would know your coming after receiving a message from her " he said.
I turn around to him and hold my books closer to my chest, he sit up properly from his chair and look at me in concern.
" Gia's dead " I said.
He slightly turn his head to the side.
" Our so called friends tried to kill me too, I was poisoned and thank God to the elixir you gave I wouldn't be here, but Gia no they decided to slit her throat instead " I said.
" And your here why? " He asked.
" Honestly. . . . " I swallow a lump in my throat, my vision started to blur but I blink my eyes to clear it.
" You don't know " he said, I shrug.
" Friends am I right? " I asked.
" If your out for revenge then, I'm not teaching you " he said.
" You know my dad, I'm not going back there so when Mrs. Zvahl offered this path I took it " I said.
" The only wished I could have is bring the twins here. . .and find out what's wrong with me " I said.
" What about your mother?, You rather leave her with him? " He asked.
" She's just less like him so it doesn't matter if I bring her because sooner or later she'll be more aggressive " I said.
" One last question, what are you going to do after your done here? " He asked.
" Travel the world, I couldn't before and now I'm here, so why not right? " I asked, he smiles.
" You can go now " he said.
" Oh, I have one more thing for you " I said and I reach in my pocket as I approach him.
" You got me somethi–. . . " He stops himself after I took out my middle finger from my pocket.
I gasp and put my finger away.
" Sorry, wrong one I think I left it in the other pocket " I put my other hand in my other pocket.
" Very funny–. . . " Her shuts himself up again to my other middle finger, he sighs and smiles at me with sarcasm.
" Very funny Y/n " he said.
" I'm so sorry, this thing is out of my control, I'll put it up here " I raise my middle finger higher in the air.
" See you tomorrow " I smile and leave the room.
I put my hand down laughing to myself as I walk down this hallway.
" Idiot " I mutter.
Since alchemy is my only class and working at the library is next, I'm not sure what librarians do but I'm about to find out.
" Watch out! " I look up and see people are getting shoved by a familiar golden dust flying around.
" Y/n! "
I hear my name being screamed and I squint my eyes to realized it's Elvenia flying fast around the room with a dog barking and chasing her. I stood here not knowing what to do and all she just fly under my hair, the door barks and leap onto me.
" Ah! " I fall and drop my books.
My groan changes to a giggle when the dog starts licking my face, I laugh and sit up.
" Hello puppy " I pet him and it's a golden retriever.
" Scouts stop! " I look up and see a guy grabbing Scouts by his collar and pull him away from me.
" That's alright " I chuckle and got up from the floor.
" Are you okay?, I'm so sorry, Scouts tends to chase the fairies for fun and well this happens all the time too " he said.
" It's okay, so Scouts is your name? " I look down at the dog who's sitting down looking at me with his tongue out.
" He tried to eat me! " Elvenia pops her head out of my hair.
" He doesn't eat fairies, he just shake you around " said the guy.
He has dirty blond hair and light blue eyes.
" That's not what happened last time! " Elvenia said.
" What happened last time? " I asked.
" He swallowed Sylvia " she said.
" Who's Sylvia? " I asked.
We then turn attention to Scouts who's gagging then spit out a fairy, my eyes widened as the fairy roll around and covered in saliva.
" Ew " she said and her wings are all soaked.
" Sylvia are you okay? " Asked the guy and she stands up on the floor all drenched.
She has jet black hair and purple lilac eyes.
" Do I look okay Garroth?!, My wings are wet again! " She shouts.
Scouts then leans down licking Sylvia.
" He swallowed me again " Sylvia glares at the golden retriever.
" Here " Garroth takes out a napkin and she jumps in his palm drying herself.
" Does everyone get a fairy? " I asked.
" Yes, a student must have one assigned to them " Elvenia said as she still holds onto the strands of my hair.
" Oh, cool " I said.
" Y/n was it? " Garroth asked, I nodded.
" I heard yours was Garroth? " I asked.
" Yeah, sorry about Scouts again " he said.
" Awe, that's alright, he's adorable " I pet him again and Garroth chuckles.
" Sorry to cut it short but I have to go before–. . . . "
" Mr. Ro'Meave! " I look behind him to see miss Layla.
" Before that happens " Garroth said, I chuckle.
" I think you should be going " I said.
" Yep, Scouts run! " Garroth said and I step away when he starts running while holding Sylvia carefully.
" Garroth Ro'Meave! " Layla shouts as she starts walking fast in her heels.
I laugh.
" Well he's not a stranger to trouble " I said.
" Everyone in this school technically knows him " Elvenia said as I start walking while she sits down in my shoulder comfortably.
" Why not keep the dog outside? " I asked.
" Well funny thing is, he's the school's owner son and he gets away with everything and Scouts is like an assistant " she said.
" Wow, that sounds fun " I said.
" But not all of them so it's sort of fair for everyone " she said.
" I find it fair " I said.
I look back to where I'm going when a hand just slap me across the face, I yelp backing up also dropping my books. I look back up and see Rowena, I step forward to slap her back when I felt a pair of hands pull me back, I look over my shoulder and see a girl standing there with light ash brown hair and caramel brown eyes.
She shakes her head at me before I look back at Rowena.
" Are you okay? " Elvenia whispers, I nodded.
" That's for that slap " she said.
" Seems like you need a lesson to not mess with me "
" Awe, you want an apology? " I asked with a pout.
I can see the her anger fuming out of her face.
" Here, I'll give it to you " I put up my middle finger.
I notice other people are crowding this area.
" Put your finger down! " Elvenia whispers in my ear, panic.
" Along with another apology " I take out my other middle finger.
I smile and she hit my hand away.
" Your not fucking funny " she said.
" What are you gonna do?, Cast a spell? " I asked.
" Don't try me! "
" No! " Elvenia flies off my shoulder and turn to me.
I look at her hand where there's a red light flare up and hit me but nothing happens, she gasp and look down at her hand. She looks at me as I keep smiling.
" Seems like you need more practice " I said and Elvenia floats there in confusion as well.
I kneel down and pick up my books when I saw her foot swinging at me and I grab her by the ankle. I look up at her and she gasp trying to take her foot back.
" Seriously?, You gotta be more faster than that " I laugh.
I get up also bringing her foot up.
" Ah! " She screams as she falls.
Everyone in the room gasp and some are in shock, I look down at her as I hold my books and she looks up at me wincing with her hand on her head.
" Next time, pick on someone your own size " I wink then walk away.
I notice the other girl who was behind me follow.
" I'm Lumina "

" I don't understand, how did you stop Rowena's magic? " Elvenia asked, I shrug.
" It just didn't work on me " I said.
" She was about to set you on fire " Elvenia said.
" That was amazing, it was the first in years of Rowena didn't burn something " Lumina said.
" Yeah, about that, I have the tendency to do that " I said.
Probably why Syrene hates me
" And why'd you stop me? " I asked.
" I didn't want it to be worse so I just did " she said, I smile.
" You don't stand up for yourself don't you? " I asked.
" She doesn't have to, she has the headmistress to back her up " Elvenia said.
" Elvenia! " Lumina said and she gasp.
" The headmistress? " I asked.
" Hehe, aka mom " she said.
" Layla Saunders is your mom " I said, she nods with a sigh.
" Sorry " Elvenia said.
" It's alright, a few other people knows but so far Rowena and I are actually mutual friends, we're close " she said.
" Wow, didn't think respect was in her list " I said.
" Technically she knows who to mess with and who to not mess with " she said.
" Am I on the list?, Cause I definitely kicked her ass back there " I said.
" Actually no, you basically made her hate you more " she said.
" How? " I snicker.
" Her spell didn't work and everyone saw that, she'll definitely try to find a way to figure out why " she said.
" Well that's her problem " I said and we arrive at the library.
I push the door open and we enter as it closes behind us.
" I don't understand what's her problem exactly? " I asked.
" Rowena's from a prestige noble family, so the arrogance, selfishness, comes from her wealthy life " she said.
" Oh, that's what you call an insecure bitch " I mutter.
" Not so fast " she said.
" Why? " I asked.
" Everyone in this school is noble, well half of them " she said.
" Seriously? " I asked, she nods.
" Most of the witches and people able to control magic are noble, it's something to do with royal blood and ascendants etc " she said.
" Wow, am I suppose to bow to you? " I asked, she laughs.
" No, you don't have to " she said.
" Hi Esmus! " Elvenia waves.
" Quiet! " He said.
" Oops sorry " Elvenia giggles and flies away.
" Do you like to read books? " Lumina asked, I shake my head.
" Nope, I got the job here " I said.
" Oh, same " she smiles.
" Nice " I said and we high five.
" Shhh! " We hear Esmus.
I roll my eyes and Lumina chuckles.
" I'll teach you what to do "
Why can't we just have periods and cramps don't exist?
