Y/n's pov.
" This is our library "
I lightly gasp as Mrs. Zvahl and I enter this library, it's huge archways of shelves filled with books.
" How come this looks bigger than the outside of the school? " I asked.
" The power of magic " she said as she leads me down the archway.
Each archway we go through is a section of isles and I did a full spin to the view. I can't believe I'm seeing this right now and I'm right here right now.
" This is where you will be working " I turn around to Mrs. Zvahl and see we've passed the fifth archway to see a huge room with tables and chairs and a few students reading.
There's bookshelves on the ceiling and I assume magic is used because there aren't any chains to hold them up, along with more flying books with. . .
" Are those fairies? " I asked.
" Yes, those are fairies, the school is full of them, especially the forest, their assistance are very helpful " Mrs. Zvhal said and exhale in disbelief.
" Elvenia! " Mrs. Zvahl calls.
" Coming! " I look up at the highest part of this library and I squint my eyes where I see a golden light of particle dust just flying down here.
" Good morning mistress!, What can I do for you today? " She flies in front of her face.
" Whoa " I said.
" Morning, today I will be assigning you to a worker, this is Y/n she will be working here in the library as a part time job " Mrs. Zvahl said.
" That's wonderful! " She twirls and fly closer to me.
I can see a more detailed of her figure, she's the size of my hand, wearing a green dress which I assume is a leaf with golden sutures making it a perfect fit for her, she also has a circlet like crown around her head like Mrs. Zvahl's and an amber yellow gem in the middle that is glowing. She has a beautiful strawberry blond hair and green emerald eyes, her wings are so pretty which looks see through but with the light they have a rainbow Holo glow, and sharp pointy ears.
" Hello " I said.
" This is exciting!, Your e/c eyes are beautiful!, And your h/c hair is so soft! " She flies under my hair and I feel her tangling herself in them.
" Ow! " I felt a tug and she finally flies out of my hair.
" Your face is so smooth!, Plump lips, stunning eyelashes!, Chubby cheeks!, And look a button nose! " She tap the tip of my nose after pulling my lips, eyelids and other parts of my face.
" Elvenia, get a hold of yourself "
" Sorry, mistress " she backs away with her hands behind her.
" It's just. . .I'm excited, this is my first human to ever assist in the last five decades " she said.
" Five decades? " I asked.
" Fairies age are slow, they live past a thousand to fifteen hundred years " she said.
" How old are you? " I asked.
" I'm 346 years old " she said.
" Oh, that's interesting " I said.
" I'll leave you two at it " Mrs. Zvahl walks away and Elvenia waves.
" Have a nice day mistress! " She said said.
" So, where do I start? " I asked and she turns to me with a giggle while kicking her legs in the air.
" First let's deal with your outfit, come! "
She flies down and grab my index finger as she start pulling.
" Whoa! " I catch up and she pulls my hand more.
Leading me to another section of this huge room and we go behind a desk where my eyes averted to the old man by the table. He has a monocle on his right eye and a quill in the other hand, his ears are pointy as well but shorter with a white mustache. He looks at me with his hazel eyes and grey hair all fuzzy, he suddenly gets on the table which made me flinch and he grabs the collar of my shirt.
" You don't look too shabby as a keeper " he said, I hold my breath to his awful one.
" Nice to meet you too " I said and he let go of me.
" This is Esmus " Elvenia said.
" And I know who you are, any questions of the library goes through me, I've taken care of this library for over eight decades, if I see anything out of place I would know it " he points at me.
" Okay, are you a fairy too? "
" Do I look like one?! " He asked.
" Esmus is a troll, so part fairy I suppose " Elvenia said.
" Trolls, I thought you'd be bigger " I said.
" I might be small but I'm vicious! " He said.
" Calm down Esmus, she's new, come on, back to your clothing situation " Elvenia pulls my finger again.
She leads me into a room and I shut the door behind me as I look around this room.
" Whoa, another cool room, nice " I walk in.
" This'll be your room! "
I watch as Elvenia flies all over the room, it's not even dusty in here.
" Wait. . .my room? " I asked.
She hums.
" Where you sleep " she said, I exhale in disbelief and gasp as I run over to the bed.
I jump and landed softly.
" This is bigger than my house! " I said.
I sigh in relief and sit up.
" You can enjoy as much as you want, but first things first!, The school uniform "
I see Elvenia fly over to me holding an outfit on a hanger.
~ Time Skip ~
" There's only school during the summer and winter, when summer is over you may go home, then when the winter comes, you come back to school obviously " she said.
Not sure where I'll go after summer.
" Not bad " I said as I look at the mirror. (Pic above)
" Not bad?, You look gorgeous! " Elvenia twirls around me and I chuckle.
" Thank you, Elvenia " I said.
" No problem! " She smiles.
" One more thing to add " she said
" Which is? " I asked.
" Your hair " she flies behind me and I felt strands being pull and pinned on the back of my head.
I use my hand and feel a flower bead pinned.
" Thanks " I said and she flies in front of me.
" Your all set! " She said.
I turn around and pick up my battle axe.
" Umm, that's unnecessary " she nervously laughs.
" Then where should I put it? " I asked.
" Just set it down on the table " she points, I put it down and smile.
" Okay, let's go get your schedule " she flies through a small door and I open the big one as I step out.
" Esmus!, Any news? " Elvenia flies to his desk and shut the door behind me.
" Headmistress sent over these papers for her " Esmus takes out a sheet of paper and pass it to Elvenia and Elvenia pass it to me.
" Your schedule " she said.
I take it and read through it.
" It's 12pm now so, you have alchemy class " Elvenia said.
" Wow, out if all times " I said.
" Why?, Master Derek is not that bad, he's an excellent teacher " Elvenia said, I snicker.
" That's what he said " I mutter.
" Here are some books you might need " I turn to Esmus who takes out two books tied in a string.
" Thank you " I said and grab untie it.
" I won't be going with you " Elvenia said.
" Why? " I asked.
" Because your going to class, it has nothing to do with me, I'm just your assistant meaning, I only help you with guidance and other things that has to do with work " she said.
" Oh, make sense " I said.
" I'll show you where alchemy class is, it's on the second floor " she flies away and I follow out of this library, we go down the stairs.
" This school, I heard it's very old " I said.
" Yep!, Older than any of us in this school, as old as the gargoyles " she said.
" Gargoyles?, You mean those thing I saw outside the school roof? " I asked, she hums and nods.
" The protector of the school, they only wake up when real danger comes, such as things we can't handle " she said and we made it to the second floor.
The library is on the third floor.
" Such as? "
" Wild trolls " she said.
" Esmus' kind? " I asked.
" Esmus' are nothing like wild trolls, wild trolls they're big, smelly and ugly with their husks, green and you know ugly " she said.
" You already said that " I said.
" Hehe " she said.
My attention then turns to a group of girls passing by whispering and giggling as they pass me. The specific blond one who was alone made eye contact with me as her fiery red honey eyes seems to be judging my appearance. She walks by herself towards the classroom.
We're walking the same direction.
" Rowena "
" Who? " I look at Elvenia who's sitting on my shoulder.
" The mean girl " she said.
" Mean girl?, What is this straight out of a theatre? " I asked.
" Rowena came into this school for three years, and in the span of those years, she made progress in her spells, she even set fire to a student's clothes before " she said.
" So she's a bully? " I asked.
" Not exactly " she said.
" Reminds me of me " I chuckle.
" Well, unfortunately, she's in the same class as you " she said.
" Didn't think to tell me earlier? " I asked and she flies off my shoulder.
" Well, considering with the axe and all you walked in with, I didn't want you to kill someone on your first day " she said and we turn a corner.
" Fair point " I said.
" Just try not to get on her bad side, if she talks to you, just answer so you won't get into trouble " she said.
" Why are you scared of her? " I asked.
" She had caused trouble quite a lot, I don't want to be a part of it so yeah " she said.
" Here we are " we stop and I see where Rowena is entering a room.
" What am I supposed to do?, Go in and listen? " I asked.
" It's alchemy so, find a table and wait for Derek to come in " she said.
" Okay, see you later at the library " I said.
" See you later Y/n! " She excitingly said then fly away.
I take a deep breath and turn to the door where student are entering.
" Here we go " I mutter to myself and walk up to the door.
I enter and there's like multiple long tables in the room and I see an empty seat at the middle section. I approach it then take my seat as I put my books on the table. Sitting here waiting I just open the book I have in hand then start reading, to what's interesting is the sketches are moving on the pages as instructions.
I have to admit this place is big, suddenly a pair of hands intertwined is placed on top of my book and I look up to see Rowena.
" Hi, I'm Rowena " she smiles.
" I'm Y/n " I said then push her hands off my book.
I continue to read when her hand shuts it, I sigh and sit up properly on my stool.
" Can I help you? " I asked.
" Your the new girl they brought in, I want to get to know you, be friends " she smiles with her chin on her palm.
" Well, what do you want to know about me? " I asked.
She smiles.
" Where are you from? " She asked.
" Kaigon " I said.
" Where? " She asked in confusion.
" It's a village on the outer lands " I said.
" A village? " She furrow her eyebrows.
" Yes, got a problem? " I asked.
" Why would someone like you from the outer lands wants to learn magic? " She asked.
" Is it wrong to? " I asked.
" I'm just asking, what can you do? " She asked.
" Nothing, cause I can't do magic " I said, she snorted and laughs.
" You can't do magic?, Then what are you here for? " She asked out loud and the whole class seems to hear her obnoxious annoying laugh.
" I'm here to learn potions so I can kill someone " I said.
She stops laughing and looks at me with a doubtful expression.
" You kill someone?, I don't think your capable as a village girl " she said, I snicker.
" If I had my axe right now your head would be on the floor " I said.
" Oh honey, I don't even need an axe " she said.
Suddenly my book abrupt in flames and I gasp before hitting it away and it lands on the floor, the flame dies out and I turn to her who's somehow confuse but plaster it with a smirk.
" Scaredy cat- "
SMACK
Everyone in the room gasp after my hand meets her face, she looks at me in shock.
" You- "
The door opens and there I see Derek walking in.
" Everyone to your seats " he said.
She turns to me and I smile.
" You heard him, to your seat " I said, she puts her hand down from her red cheek.
She walks away to her chair and sit down as her friend checks on her, I got up from my chair and pick up my book to see it's not badly burnt, only the cover is damaged.
" Today we have a new student "
I just finished watching conjuring 2, it was so good.
