Seokjin wasn't sure what he was expecting when his parents told him that they'd discussed and arranged a potential mating for him— specifically him.
His pack had always been on the greatest terms with the other Kim pack. That was something that Seokjin didn't really care to look into, though. He knew how much his parents and his pack had gotten along with the other one— they'd always helped each other out and had been there for each other for years and years, but Seokjin didn't really care to look back on it.
He knew that his parents had been acting strange here recently. They'd been oddly quiet every time Seokjin came into the kitchen and they'd given the slightest hints to Seokjin that he was in fact a grown man now, a grown alpha who needed to settle down soon.
Seokjin wanted to settle down with someone as well.
His parents never forced him into anything and as a twenty-three year old man who'd recently graduated university and gotten settled into his future career, he agreed with what his parents were saying; he should be settling down sometime soon.
But even so, none of that could've ceased the shock that hit Seokjin when his parents told him that the other Kim pack had proposed something so big to particularly him and him only.
They wanted Seokjin to mate and be with their son— their omega son— to merge the two Kim packs and finally be as one through such a deal.
The shocking thought of meeting this potential mate, being together, mating, and even moving in together— it all suddenly hit him as his parents looked dead serious about it as well. It was obvious in their hopeful eyes that they wanted him to say yes.
Seokjin had never seen the Kim pack's son— not since they were little, apparently. His mom told him that they played together as kids, but Seokjin didn't remember it in the slightest. Too much information from college and too many friends from high school really jumbled up his brain. There was no way he could remember someone from when he was six years old like that.
Instead of sitting and thinking for forever about it, Seokjin immediately told his parents that he'd like to meet the omega before ever accepting such a huge arrangement. They seemed very excited and pleased by the answer, his mother as enthusiastic as ever.
"Oh, I'm sure you'll love him, son." She winked, but Seokjin wasn't so sure about that.

Seokjin wasn't so sure until the day arrived to meet the omega.
He wasn't alone. His parents had invited the pack over and they gladly agreed, their son Kim Taehyung coming over— and Seokjin would be lying to say he wasn't nervous, that heightened anxious feeling and racing heart in his chest making him too aware of everything like the way the couch decorative pillow was a centimeter too uneven or the way the weather didn't feel so perfect for this sort of meeting, dark clouds shadowing over their home.
Suddenly, he wanted everything to be perfect.
But that wasn't so hard to achieve:
Once the other pack's head family got to their home, Perfect walked right in behind the welcomed middle-aged couple. Perfect came peeking behind his parents, his curious brown eyes locking with Seokjin's and immediately shying away once they did. Seokjin didn't take his eyes off of the omega, though. Even when they all greeted each other and the two potential mates took their slight bows, Seokjin kept his gaze on him.
Kim Taehyung is fucking gorgeous.
From his pretty brown eyes, his hearty and pink lips, the way his body curved under the sheer red shirt he wore and the flowy black pants he wore underneath, or the way his hair was dark and outlined his face so well as it was curled— he was so unique already, but also so pretty that Seokjin couldn't not stare.
Don't even get him started on his scent.
Of course, he's an omega and Seokjin's an alpha who can appreciate a good scent, but Kim Taehyung was even unique with this part of him; Seokjin couldn't explain anything about the scent other than it reminded him of a cold wintery day next to a cozy fireplace, watching the snow fall outside. It reminded him of winter trees and like sweet Christmasy snacks— like hot chocolate and marshmallows on a winter day. It didn't help that winter was just around the corner either— or that Seokjin loves winter.
Taehyung himself would look perfect as winter itself.
The wintery omega came through the door and almost instantly, with only a few words said to each other, the alpha had decided that this was the one. If anyone, it was Kim Taehyung.
He hardly even gave it time before he was accepting Taehyung's parents' offer, respectfully telling the pack leaders that he was financially and mentally, emotionally ready for anything Taehyung needed or wanted. He almost would've dropped to his knees and begged Taehyung to accept as well if it weren't for the fact that the omega had the same look in his eyes once he came in— he couldn't stop glancing over at Seokjin either, blushing once their eyes would meet.
"I understand that you still live with your parents," Taehyung's mom said to him. "But we're thinking that to unify the packs, it would be much healthier to have you two live together in a separate home other than ours or here. To really come together as one, we believe you two could live together and ease into the mating process. Is that okay?"
"More than okay," Seokjin told her. "I agree with that. It would be nice to have one place for both packs to feel welcomed in." He looked at the quiet omega. "Would that be something you're willing to do as well?"
Taehyung's eyes grew wide in shock as Seokjin spoke to him, but he nodded. "Yes. I'm the one who suggested it..."
Seokjin was far too excited just thinking about waking up to that smooth, honey-like voice every morning, to the scent of winter, to the feeling of having an omega.
"Do you want to do it, son?" Taehyung's father asked. "You don't have to if you don't want to—"
"I want to," Taehyung quickly answered. He chewed at his bottom lip, his cheeks puffing up into round balls of light reddening skin. "I really want to."

The plan began simple and quick.
When the other Kim pack had brought up their offer, they'd supposedly told Seokjin's parents about a house contract they'd received— a small home as a big present to Taehyung and Seokjin for their soon-to-be mating process. They'd help them get on their feet in their new home, but they'd leave the rest to the soon-mated couple.
Seokjin was excited to finally live on his own— well, with Taehyung of course. But over twenty years of his life had gone by and he was ready to take the next step. Finishing school and getting started on his career was over with now, so he could focus on helping Taehyung with any school fees or even taking his time to learn about the omega more. He was eager to start this new chapter of his life with Taehyung.
It wasn't long before they were fully moved into the cutest little house, which was fairly close to the university Taehyung would shortly graduate from and closer to where Seokjin worked.
The only problem was that when they moved in, Seokjin didn't get to see Taehyung as much as he thought he would. It was almost like he was living on his own because Taehyung had only moved a few of his things from his college dorm and he still had a month left of school, so it took around two months before they really got settled in.
When Taehyung graduated, Seokjin made sure to buy flowers and a balloon so he could present them to the omega at the ceremony, earning giggles from a beta and omega that Taehyung seemed to know.
"Thank you so much." Taehyung took the flowers with gleaming eyes, bright and happy as he looked up at Seokjin. "I didn't think you were coming here today."
"Why wouldn't I?" Seokjin asked. "This is important, right?"
Taehyung nodded, then said, "Maybe you could drive me home too? Would that be okay?" which was the true start of their chapter together.
The alpha was so happy to finally meet Taehyung's friends Jungkook and Jimin and he was even happier to get to drive Taehyung home so he could officially be living with him in their house now. Tonight was the real start and he was excited all over again.

There were easily trials and errors, agreements and disagreements, similar likes and dislikes, but Taehyung was someone very easy to get along with and like.
He'd laugh at Seokjin's jokes and absolutely loved the alpha's cooking, and he loved when Seokjin would go make himself food and end up making some for the younger as well. Taehyung even started helping Seokjin cook a few things, curiously asking the alpha questions and watching with unblinking eyes as Seokjin worked hard for him.
What they really enjoyed doing was eating ramen and watching TV together, though. The two got to spend time doing so while also learning each other's viewpoints on certain shows and talking about favorites and least favorites when it came to tropes and genres.
Taehyung was unique, gorgeous, and he loved the little gifts Seokjin would court him with, whether they cost a little or a lot. He effortlessly became a precious being to Seokjin even from day one. He loved everything about the omega.
But something was off today and Seokjin could immediately tell by the way Taehyung was acting all quiet and kept zoning out.
His scent was different too.
"Is something wrong?" Seokjin asked him, noticing how Taehyung was hardly enjoying his ramen and how he was in a daze.
Taehyung wasn't the type to lie and say no, simply staying quiet as he turned his head to Seokjin and gave him a weak smile. "You don't smell it yet, do you?" he asked. Seokjin lowered his ramen bowl and furrowed his brows as if to say Huh? Taehyung sighed and rested his head back on the couch, averting his eyes. "My heat is coming up, alpha. Do you think we should go through with the mating process?"
Seokjin wasn't exactly expecting that, but a part of him shuddered thinking about the omega in heat. His alpha had never felt so aware and riled up and he never knew his effect on Taehyung until the omega must've smelt his spiked-up scent because he pushed his hands between his legs and held back a sudden whimper.
Only then did Seokjin smell the omega's heat due to Taehyung's scent spiking as well. Seokjin didn't mean to hit him with such a scent all of a sudden but he couldn't help it.
"Your heat?" he questioned. "If you want to, we can do it. I'll do anything you want. Just say the word and I'll give it to you."
Taehyung visibly gulped and he squirmed a bit on the couch. "You'll give me anything, alpha?"
Seokjin slowly set his hardly half-eaten bowl of ramen down and he gave Taehyung a reassuring smile. "Anything."
"C-Can I have you then, alpha?" Taehyung asked. A sudden whiff of sweet slick hit Seokjin's nose as Taehyung turned to him, still squirming as he looked at the alpha with hopeful eyes. "Please? Right now? Can we?"
They both had work today but workplaces have available days off for heats and ruts for partners and there was no way Seokjin was going to work anytime this week if Taehyung was going to look him in the eyes and beg for him.
"You can't wait, can you baby?"
Taehyung whined at the name and shook his head. "Come on, alpha, I know you bought condoms for our mating, didn't you? I know you did." And of course, he did. He did the moment they moved into this house, keeping them there for use in case Taehyung wanted to use them.
"Let's go to the bedroom, okay? Don't you want to make a nest before—"
"No," Taehyung cut him off, then stood up from the couch, his scent stronger as he reached for Seokjin's hand and tried pulling him off the couch as well. "I don't need that. Just want you, alpha."
Seokjin had to hold back everything every time Taehyung called him alpha. For him to be so needy, to have that pleading look in his eyes, and to smell so fucking good right now...
He immediately got up and let the omega lead him to their bedroom. They'd never done anything like this and though Seokjin was slightly afraid he'd do something wrong, he was also becoming just as needy for the omega.
His fears all vanished away as Taehyung got on the bed and laid on his back, whining for his alpha to get on top of him.
Seokjin did, he slowly crawled up on top of the omega and got between his legs, biting back the heat in his lower area as their crotches met and the omega whined out with parted lips, this time pushing his legs up and begging for more friction.
"Shh, shh."
Seokjin brushed the hair from Taehyung's eyes and he leaned into the omega's neck, beginning to rub his scent along his skin and gripping hard onto the blankets beside Taehyung's arms as the omega tilted his head and allowed for more, trying his best to hold back his whines.

He reached over to his personal drawer at the side, but before he could search for the condoms, Taehyung grabbed his arm. "No alpha. Fill me full, please. Want you to come in me. Forget the condoms. Please?"
Though he was a bit surprised to hear that, he instantly left the drawer alone and nodded, getting back into position. He didn't want to let his omega down and he sure as hell wanted to come and knot inside Taehyung for real, especially for mating as well.

Even though he asked, he still lined his fingers up to Taehyung's hole and slowly slid in two fingers, the slick making it easy and Taehyung's moan making his dick leak in anticipation. And he was so damn right about that. Taehyung is his omega now and nobody else's.
