"Shunsuke is the killer." I bluntly said, the whole room falling silent.

"I beg your pardon!" Shunsuke gasped, interrupting the quiet atmosphere with his response.

"C-Chiyo now is no time for jokes!" Kokoro exclaimed. "Shunsuke would never kill."

"Fuahaha! You tell her, my dear." He grinned once Kokoro protected him, offering her a sweet smile.

Kokoro is...still going to protect him.

And Shunsuke doesn't even seem phased? The heck?

"Shunsuke's...The killer?" Finn repeated. "Are you really sure?"

"I mean, as of now he's just our main suspect-"

"You idiots!" Yukari loudly barged into the conversation, cutting Hidemi off. "What did I say in the beginning? I told you it was him! We could have skipped this whole trial if you believed me."

"Even if you were right, we weren't going to vote over a guess. There was a one in fourteen chance it was right without evidence." Tatsuo sighed at her. "Chiyo, this is a real accusation, right?"

"Of course it is! And I got proof."

"Proof...?" Yuna said. "Proof that Shunsuke...Killed Akemi?!?"

"No! He didn't!" Kokoro continued defending him.

"Shunsuke, did you actually do it?!?" Kairi questioned him. "You better tell the truth!"

"I never would waste my time with such dim-witted trash." He played with his hair and smirked, looking to the side. "The mere thought of me murdering that boy is just a laugh! Fuaha!"

"Hm..." Kenjiro seemed to be lost in thought. I wonder what he's thinking about.

I shook my head and ignored him, returning to the topic at hand. "It's no laugh! It's our best lead so far."

"But...Shunsuke is so cool! And pretty! And nice! How could he just kill Akemi?" Akihiro questioned.

"Are those seriously the factors that judge if someone's a killer to you?" Tatsuo eyed him suspiciously.

"I-It's not like I lied!"

"Maybe if I try hard enough...Akemi's spirit will appear!" Shouko realised. "Then I could ask him. He'd know the truth to whether Shunsuke's the answer."

"This...This is a trial. We don't have time for stuff like t-that." Satoshi shook his head, appearing to have recovered from when everyone was accusing him earlier. "Shunsuke...is our main suspect. Chiyo is right, surprisingly."

"S-Surprisingly? What the hell is that supposed to mean?" I glared at him.

"But a ghost would help!" She argued.

"S-Stop bringing up stupid make-believe!"

I guess he doesn't like ghosts.

I mean...They don't exist in the first place anyway.

"Well then, Chiyo...Things have certainly gotten interesting!" Ryoko clapped in joy. "Let's see this proof you got! Surely that will convince everyone."

"Right! Do entertain me. Since I'm not the killer, I shall find your simple attempts to pin blame on me...amusing." Shunsuke said, staring at me.

Geez...It looks like I seriously have to do this.

Well, bring it on! I know Shunsuke has got to be the killer, so I'll prove it to everyone until they finally get it!

Truth Bullet: Cleaning Committee Routine
-

Shunsuke: Me? The killer?

Kokoro: It's impossible!

Shunsuke: Of course it! But if I were to kill...

Shunsuke: Then why would I kill that idiot?

Shunsuke: And...How would I have fought him?

Shunsuke: Or hide the gloves?

Shunsuke: I would have prevented blood from getting into the kitchen...

Shunsuke: But not on myself! But here I am, clean. So I can't be some killer-

"No, that's wrong!"
-

"Hm? Did I say something wrong?" He titled his head.

"Yeah, you did. You claim the killer couldn't have stopped the blood from getting on themselves and their clothes." I began. "But you, especially you, could have."

"Do enlighten me. How exactly could I have stopped the force of blood? It's not like I cleaned it off with the water out of commission."

"Then what about your apron?" I smirked once I saw his calm attitude falter for a split second.

"My...apron?"

"Chiyo's right. You briefly talked about it with her during the investigation. And I don't remember seeing it in the kitchen..." Hidemi added.

"So it's safe to assume Shunsuke wore it to protect himself from blood, and then hid or got rid of it somehow," Tatsuo concluded.

"That makes a whole lot of sense..." Finn nodded.

"You must have avoided the fountain since the bloody cloth was already there and you knew we'd identify it as yours." I continued, watching Shunsuke's face.

But then suddenly, he laughed.

"Fuahaha! A piece of fabric like that is your deciding proof. Foolish...Foolish I tell you!"

"Huh? What's foolish about it?" Kairi asked.

"Shun is so right! It is foolish!" Kokoro cried. "Just because it was his poor apron doesn't mean he's the one who used it!"

Kokoro...She must really believe in Shunsuke.

She is not going to like this, I can tell that already.

"That's a good point. Anyone could've used and gotten rid of his apron." Yuna reiterated.

"If that's the only smudge of evidence against me, then I shall revel in your embarrassment." He said.

"Well, it's a good thing it's not then." I crossed my arms. "I mean, there's a witness."

"A...witness?" He repeated, seemingly stopping in his tracks.

"W-Who...Who saw?" Shouko wondered.

"I know exactly who...

-

"Ryoko can testify." I nodded over to her.

"Aha! Finally, I can contribute." She grinned.

"Ryoko...saw the crime take place?!?" Akihiro exclaimed.

"Yes...I was so afraid!" She cried, obviously acting while retelling her story. "I watched the culprit, a mysterious figure, beat Akemi to the ground and carry him away!"

"W-Well...That could be anyone-"

"I saw you, Shunsuke! Ha, you weren't sneaky at all in that get-up!" She cackled, pointing directly at him.

Wait a second...

She knew it was Shunsuke this whole time?!?

"Ryoko, what the hell?" I yelled. "You knew Shunsuke was the killer this whole trial?"

"Hm? Oh yes, why?" She asked.

"You...You didn't think to tell us? That is withholding evidence!" Hidemi argued.

"No, it's not. When you questioned me, I gave you my account. Not once did you think to ask me who I saw? You just assumed I didn't know. How was I supposed to know you wanted specifics?" She acted innocent. "I guess I owe you an apology. I'm so sorry, miss attorney! It's technically your fault for not asking."

"That apology is obviously fake!" Yukari called her out.

"I-I..." Hidemi seemed shocked at what Ryoko had just revealed. "You...You can't be serious, Ryoko! You should have told us from the beginning. Why hide that?!?"

"Why c-couldn't you have told us...?" Kenjiro pondered.

"Isn't it clear? That's too easy. Why would I just tell you the answer? That's no fun at all!" She grinned.

This...This really is just fun and games to her.

"This is no time for fun. We could die!" Tatsuo scolded her.

"I know that, obviously." She rolled her eyes at everyone judging her. "It's not like I would just let you all die. I would have told you before that!"

"You..."

I couldn't even say anything to her. We all were at a loss for words at what had just happened, until...

"Do you have a heart of stone or something?!?"

"K-Kokoro?!?" Her sudden rebuttal snapped everyone out of it.

"Ryoko...She has to be lying! Shunsuke is innocent." She pleaded.

"You can't be certain about that." Satoshi dismissed her.

"No, I am! He...He wouldn't kill! He's not like those other terrible boys...He's so amazing! And not a cold-blooded killer!" She cried.

She's convinced about his innocence...It looks like I have to drill it into her brain until she understands.

Kokoro...I'm sorry about Shunsuke.

-

Truth Blade: Ripped Shirt Piece
-

Kokoro: Chiyo, why do you keep accusing him?

Kokoro: Shunsuke is innocent, I tell you!

Kokoro: All this evidence...It's lies. All of it is lies, it has to be!

Kokoro: Because Shunsuke would never kill ever!

-

Chiyo: Look, I'm sorry, but you got to realise...

Chiyo: Shunsuke has way too much evidence against him!

Chiyo: And none of it is lies either! He's the culprit!

-

Kokoro: No, no, no!

Kokoro: You...You've got to be lying!

Kokoro: All this evidence is just made up! Because in the end...

Kokoro: There is nothing that proves Shunsuke is the killer-

"I'll cut through that contradiction!"
-

"You're wrong!" I argued.

"H-Huh?" She stuttered.

"You said there's nothing that proves he killed Akemi. But if that was true, then explain the ripped fabric Hidemi found at the crime scene."

"Fabric...?" He repeated.

"Right!" Hidemi began. "That fabric definitely belonged to a shirt, but the colour of it was unrecognisable with the blood. I suppose even with the apron some must have spilt."

"And this connects to Shunsuke...How?" Akihiro asked.

"Well, if the killer was part of the cleaning committee and wore a shirt, then that narrows things down by quite a bit. The only members to wear shirts were me, Kenjiro, Chiyo...and of course, Shunsuke." She finished, pointing at the main suspect.

"My, what a pitiful excuse!" He said, shaking his head at her explanation. "You listed off all those names yourself. The fabric could have belonged to any one of those names, not just my own. All of this proof just seems to be a mound of coincidences..."

"Yeah, but too many coincidences to ignore," Tatsuo replied.

"Then continue! What other coincidences do you have in store?" He folded his arms.

"You want more? Ok then..." I clenched my fists in thought.

What else can prove he murdered Akemi...?

Wait a second...In this case, I should be saying who else instead...

> - Archie the Seconds...Account? <
-

"Archie!" I realised.

"Huh? What's up with him?" Finn tilted his head, the spider crawling up his neck and onto his head as if on command.

"J-Jeez...It's my fault for calling that thing by its name." I sighed. "Your spider buddy. He was close to Shunsuke, right?"

"Oh yeah...Yeah!" Finn suddenly remembered the creature now in his hands. "Archie here takes ages to get used to new people, so he usually sticks with me. Unless he really likes that person...And Archie really liked Shunsuke."

"A-Archie, how could you!" Kokoro cried.

"Why are you getting mad at the bug?!?" Yukari yelled.

"Archie is not some bug, he's a-"

"I didn't ask either!"

"Finn, can you get back on topic? Like...How Archie got lost?" Hidemi guided him.

"Alright...Yesterday, I couldn't find Archie. The guy loves to explore, so I guess I should've expected it, but I was worried sick! Again, he usually sticks to me."

"Literally," I mumbled.

"But I found Archie this morning, at the scene of the crime...He was locked in the kitchen with Akemi's body all night!" He ended his account.

"And if Archie wasn't with Finn, exploring or friendly to Akemi...Then there is only one possibility. The spider was after Shunsuke." Hidemi nodded.

"Hm..." Shunsuke seemed to ponder that lengthy interrogation but laughed before playing his hair yet again. "Such fools...That creature never loved me, and I never cared for it either."

"H-Hey! How...How could you say that to Archie?!?" Finn exclaimed, bringing the Spider close to his chest to comfort him. "Crap...Now he's all bummed out."

"I speak the truth! The spider is nothing but a pest to me-"

"U-Um..." Kenjiro suddenly spoke up, straightening his back. "I've...I've realised something."

"Is...Is it important?" Shouko asked.

"Y-Yes! Well...I hope it is. I-I mean...It might not be, but I think it's a bit-"

"Can you please just tell us?" I requested.

"O-Ok..." he took a deep breath. "I've...Been analysing Shunsuke for a bit of the trial."

"Oh?" The mortician raised his eyebrows.

"And I've realised..." Kenjiro closed his eyes and slowly exhaled a breath. "S-Shunsuke, you have a lying tell that I think you're not even aware of."

"A what?" Yuna said.

"A tell...Something that implies that he's lying." Satoshi nodded. "What did you find out, Kenjiro?"

"It may be discreet but...Whenever Shunsuke lies, he plays with his hair."

"That's...it?" Akihiro said.

"N-No! For big lies..he plays with the right side for a slightly longer period of time. His eyes will begin to wander and he'll look away. B-But for smaller lies, he'll play with either side for a shorter time while keeping eye contact."

Woah...Talk about analysing. I almost forgot he was a psychologist. No wonder he noticed something like this.

"Going over most of what Shunsuke has said...one of his lies was at the very beginning. H-He spoke about not being the culprit while playing with his hair...and now he played with it when saying A-Archie didn't care for him." Kenjiro sighed after saying all of that, probably relieved.

"So those were all lies!" I called him out.

"I-I..." Shunsuke seemed unnerved, now glaring at Kenjiro, causing him to cower.

"I-I'm...I'm sorry! I just wanted to help-"

"Fuahaha!" Shunsuke began laughing loudly once more, ignoring Kenjiro. "Me, a mortician of such high calibre...To have such a measly and pathetic lying tell." He played with his hair. "Utterly absurd!"

"But...You're playing with it right now." Shouko pointed out. "You're lying. Again."

"Hm...?" Shunsuke looked down at his hands, noticing that they were indeed fiddling with his hair. As soon as he realised this, he gulped and immediately let go. "I-I refuse to believe this! This is all ridiculous!"

"Ridiculous, you say?" Ryoko smirked at the boy next to her, leaning over. "Then...how about...This!"

Suddenly, she grabbed his wrist and yanked his whole body forward, hand first. Her eyes inspected each one of his fingers, before grabbing one and snatching the ring off of it.

"You...You! How could you take my-"

"Save it, killer." Ryoko stopped him by shoving her hand in his face. She then examined his ring, holding it up towards the light before cackling in pure joy. "Wow! What a silly mistake!"

"R-Ryoko? What do you mean...?" Hidemi cautiously asked.

"It may seem irrelevant or invisible to the naked eye but, witness this!" She held up what appeared to be nothing.

"I can't see anything." Yuna bluntly said.

"Hm. It seems like I must describe it to you." She sighed. "Talk about ruining my dramatic reveal. What can I do..."

"Get to the point, please!" Kokoro cried.

"Here...Stuck to the edges of Shunsuke's ring...Is a single small fibre of clothing!"

"...So?" Shouko yawned.

"So?!? I didn't know I was stuck with such...morons." She shook her head. "This fibre is the exact same colour as the gloves Shunsuke wore during the attack! Trust me, I saw them, remember."

"That fibre...It must have gotten caught on the ring while he wore it." I said.

"Y-You..." Shunsuke was full-on giving Ryoko a death glare at this point. "Give it back...That belongs to my family! It's an heirloom!"

"This is quite a nice ring..." she slipped it on and modelled it. "And heirloom, you say? Does it look good on me?"

"Ryoko, what are you-"

Instead of letting Tatsuo finish, Ryoko took the ring off and tossed it across the room before any of us could see where it landed.

"Oh no!" She acted upset. "I dropped it! I'm so clumsy...Sorry, Shunsuke!"

She obviously threw that on purpose! Who the hell is she trying to fool?

"You're...You're out of your mind!" Shunsuke argued. "How could you?!?"

"How could you kill Akemi, hm?" She turned the tables on him.

"I-I..."

"If we ignore what just happened." Tatsuo sighed. "Then I'd like to mention how Shunsuke knew the gloves were hidden."

"What do you mean?" Kairi wondered.

"It's just...How did he know they were hidden in the first place? All we said was that they were found." He said.

"You're right!" I perked up. "And only Tatsuo, Hidemi and I knew that. So Shunsuke must be the killer if he knew."

"That's true." Hidemi nodded.

"Furthermore, when we first introduced ourselves, you said you knew how to cauterise wounds." I pointed out. "And look how that turned out."

"Damn...There really is so much evidence against you right now, Shunsuke." Akihiro rubbed the back of his neck.

"T-They are all coincidences!" Kokoro argued.

"My dear, it's fine." Shunsuke sighed.

"Huh?!?" She gasped.

"Ha! Are you finally going to come clean?" Yukari asked.

"On the contrary...I'm going to refute your mindless claims." He pointed directly at me. "Chiyo...I've had enough of your idiotic rambles! Let us spar for justice!"

"S-Spar? Do you mean...argue?!?" I responded.

"Whatever you call it, I won't allow this slander!" He stared. "Try your luck, but your brainless assumptions end now!"

-
Argument Armament
-

"Impossible..."

"Your reasoning is appalling!"

"Give up!"

"Your foolish thoughts make me laugh!"

"Fuahaha!"

"There is no reason for me to kill such a moron!"

> He had your secret! <

"Hm?"

-

"There is a reason and you know it!" I put an end to his arguing. "Akemi had your secret! That's why the two of you met up in the first place."

"M-My...Secret?" He paused.

"The motive..." Kokoro sighed.

"You...Y-You can't be certain he had my secret at all." Shunsuke pitifully tried to fight back, which at this point was hopeless.

"He is kinda right." Yuna pointed out.

"If only there was a way to see who got whose secret...It's not like we can ask Akemi." Kairi wondered, but her thoughts got rudely interrupted by Monokuma's laughing.

"Oh, but there is a way!"

"R-Really?!?" Akihiro exclaimed. "Then tell us!"

"Since it's your first trial and all, I figured my lovely little campers would want some extra help from the oh so handsome Monokuma. So for you all, I'll reveal who got whose secret!"

"I don't buy it." I immediately said. "What's the catch?"

"Ah, what a smart girl." He grinned. "In exchange for this help...I'll reveal all your secrets alongside it so it's fair! Your secrets...or your lives!"

"Y-You can't do that!" Yukari yelled. "My secret can't-"

"Reveal them." Ryoko smiled. "They're just small little useless bits from the past, who cares! The trial is way more important, don't you agree?" She teasingly looked at the rest of us.

"She's right...but..."

I would like to agree with her...But I don't want to reveal Satoshi's secret! As I said, I was just lying earlier.

"You...You can't." Tatsuo sighed.

"Woah. Out of everyone, I thought you'd be the most for it buddy." Finn said glancing at Tatsuo. "You were super into solving the mystery..."

"So what will it be?" Monokuma eagerly looked amongst us.

Most of us were silent, pondering what to do. My eyes lingered on Satoshi, who seemed conflicted.

He wants to solve the case but doesn't want to show his secret. I can't even imagine what he's thinking right now.

"Monokuma..." he closed his eyes and tried to calm his trembling hand. "You...You can r-reveal them."

"Satoshi?!?" I blurted out. "Are you sure?"

"I...can't hide it forever...I-I don't want to! But for the trial..."

"Satoshi..." Hidemi glanced at him, confused.

"Ah, now I'm excited to see what everyone's hiding!"

"Hm...I seem to be hearing no more objections, so here we go! If you'd be so kind as to look at the massive screen to the right of me." Monokuma instructed.

Our eyes followed where he had directed us to see the screen flickering on, displaying fourteen different boxes with text, each containing our secrets.

"I've done the dead a favour and removed their secrets to not embarrass them in the afterlife, so you can look as much as you please!" The bear grinned at our faces.

My eyes scanned the boxes to find my own secret.

Shit...It still sounds embarrassing.

Under the text showed the name of who had received my secret:

Finn.

Well...That's not too bad. Just extremely awkward.

I then found the arachnologist's secret, the box being just under mine.

Finn Grey:

Finn has an incurable disease which has since gone under the radar thanks to his friend's help. However, he's always terrified of the thought of it relapsing!

Finn read his own secret and sighed, noticing how I had just seen it.

"D-Don't worry." He flashed a weak grin and tried to reassure me. "It's practically cured! I swear..."

"You do realise cured and incurable are clear polar opposites..." I sighed.

I then noticed the secret next to Finn's, it being Tatsuo's.

I wonder what a guy like him could be hiding. He does avoid tv and the press...So what skeletons are in his closet?

Tatsuo Takanashi:

Tatsuo, the guy shown to be a cool and mysterious figure to his adoring fans, got his girlfriend in the hospital for something that was entirely his fault!

"What the..." my mouth hung agape.

"T-Tatsuo! What the hell is wrong with you?!?" Kairi harshly turned to him as he stuttered.

"I-I...I...It's not what you think!" He attempted to defend himself. "I didn't mean to hurt her...I would never even try to harm her if that's what you're implying!"

"Then explain your secret." Ryoko tried to instigate further.

"I-I can't right now...But Monokuma is twisting the truth! It was an accident..."

Tatsuo appears to be real shaken up after that. I don't blame him.

I wonder what happened with him and his girlfriend...

The next secret I stumbled upon was Ryoko's. It was the exact same as what she had told me when we spent time a while ago.

So she didn't lie about stealing all that money.

It's half impressive, half crazy.

And judging from the name at the bottom of her secret, it looks like...

Shimura got her secret?

I wonder what he thought about that...

I ignored the minor boring ones and read over other shocking secrets, such as:

Yukari completely abandoned her reserved family to pursue her talent. And even after gaining success, she still refuses to acknowledge or contact them!

"That's...That's a lie!" She completely denied it.

Or secrets like...

Akihiro, the popular influencer on almost every platform, is secretly a two-faced lonely kid who left his only friends for fame and fortune!

"I..." Aki couldn't even muster a reply.

Satoshi refused to look at the screen, now sweating and pale from having to think about his secret. He was still trembling too.

His secret was definitely there, with my name under it for all to see.

Hidemi, however, couldn't fathom it. Her eyes keep going over and over the same text until she couldn't go on anymore.

"S-Satoshi...Is this true?!?" She turned towards him. "You...You would never!"

"Not now..." he quietly mumbled, not looking at any of us.

"So...So Satoshi has killed before." Shouko seemed shocked for the first time.

"It wasn't o-on purpose, right?" Kenjiro weakly asked.

"P-Please...Not now!" He repeated, slightly louder and holding his head in his hands.

"My. It seems like I definitely should keep an eye on you, Mr forensic scientist." Ryoko smirked as everyone was now focused on Satoshi, whispering about him while he just lowered further and further, furiously shaking his head.

He must really want to get out of here now...

"I told you he was weird!" Yukari mentioned.

Instead of talking like everyone else, I remained on topic.

Shunsuke's secret...

When I finally found it, I gasped.

Shunsuke, the renowned Ultimate Mortician, left someone he fully knew was alive to freeze to death in the very own morgue his uncle and aunt own!

And right under his name, was Akemi's.

He really got Shunsuke's secret...

"You...You what?!?" Kokoro exclaimed, desperately turning to Shunsuke for an answer. Everyone followed suit, each with their own shocked expression.

Shunsuke, however, remained silent, staring at the ground.

"No way..." Finn blurted out.

"So that explains why you wanted to shut him up!" Yukari scoffed. "I didn't know I'd be stuck with two killers. First the punk goth and now you."

"I'm...I'm guessing your secret is true." Tatsuo faced him. "Akemi brought it up, and you killed him."

"Why though?" Yuna asked.

"Isn't it self explanatory?" Ryoko laughed. "With a secret as devious as that, he'd want to hide it! So he committed murder!"

"No...No! It's not true! Shunsuke would never!" Kokoro cried, staring and pleading with him. "You tell them Shunsuke! Tell them you're innocent! P-Please."

"After everything, there's no use."

"H-Huh?" She gasped.

"It seems it's time for me to stop." Shunsuke looked back at the rest of us, dejected. His facade dropped for a mere split second. "I...I give up. I killed Akemi."

"Shunsuke...No!"

"Enough Kokoro. I've already hurt you enough." He crossed his arms and looked away. "Chiyo is right. I lost it, fought him, carved his arms and tried to clean up the evidence. But...I failed."

"Is...Is he being serious?" Akihiro couldn't believe it.

"Why? He hasn't explained enough yet!" Kairi. "Like...his secret!"

"I'll do that after the trial. I've wasted enough time...You can vote for me."

"Before that, we should go through the whole case from the beginning, so everyone can properly understand it." Hidemi offered, glancing toward me. "Chiyo, can you do the honours?"

"Sure...I'll suppose I'll give it a shot."

After all that information, I gotta go through the case. That shouldn't be too difficult.

-
Closing Argument!
-

"Here's what happened!"
-

Act One

It all started the day Monokuma gave the motives out. Akemi, the victim of this case, received the secret of our killer. He must have been disturbed, but...he was determined to change.

That's why, at the party, he approached the killer. He probably slipped a note to them while no one was looking, asking the killer to meet.

Akemi told me he wanted to apologise to us all...But had to do something first. This was probably it. He wanted to discuss the secret and assure the killer it was ok. But clearly...it didn't work.

Act Two

After the party, the killer cleaned the kitchen. Once they were done, they placed the key under the kitchen mat to make sure no one would go inside overnight. Then, the whole cleaning committee made their way back to the cabins together, where we ran into Satoshi, alone.

We spoke for a couple of moments before we each returned to our own cabins. The killer, however, made their way to Akemi's a little while later.

Once at his cabin, Akemi probably started asking the killer about their secret. This obviously startled the killer, and something went through their head that they had to kill Akemi.

For that reason, they noticed the box of Akemi's merch in the corner. They took and slipped the gloves on when he wasn't looking and turned to attack.

Act Three

The two definitely fought for a while, leaving Akemi's room in a mess. But the killer eventually got the upper hand, strangling him with their bare hands until he was out cold.

When Akemi was unconscious, the killer began dragging them to the kitchen to finish the job.

But the whole time, Ryoko was watching from her balcony. She, for some reason, thought it would be a fun idea to not tell us the identity of our culprit and just let them go.

The killer realised they couldn't simply use the kitchen door, so they retrieved a chair from the dining hall and placed it in front of the kitchen window, giving them a boost so they could push Akemi's body inside and afterwards themselves.

However, while falling, Akemi's hoodie got caught on the lock to the window, ripping it off right under him.

Act Four

The killer took one of the table cloths and placed it on the floor to stop the blood which was about to be spilt. They also put their own apron on, to stop any blood from getting on themselves. They then sat Akemi on the cloth, pulling his sleeves up.

Once they had a knife in their hand, all they had to do was carve the deep wounds into each of Akemi's arms. After they had finally done it, they heated the knife up. When it was boiling hot, they made sure Akemi was dead before cauterising the wound to prevent any more blood.

They left the knife on the counter and took their apron off. We don't know how they disposed of it, but if we had found it we would've known who the killer was immediately.

They pulled the cloth from under Akemi and with that done, climbed back out the window, leaving the chair outside.

Little did the killer know that not only did a piece of their shirt get caught and stuck on the window, but Archie the Second was watching the whole time.

Act Five

The culprit approached the fountain. The water had been shut off for the night, so the killer had to rely on the water that has been left over from the day. They dumped and left the cloth there, probably assuming no one would look there.

With their crime already committed, the killer probably returned to their cabin, reflecting on their secret and the murder they had just committed.

But now we've figured out your crime. Am I wrong, Shunsuke Ketsuyuki, the Ultimate Mortician?

He sighed once more and slowly shook his head "No...You're quite right, actually."

"S-Shunsuke..." Kokoro was already in tears. "No! No...You're going to die!"

"It's too late to change anything, Kokoro. I'm sorry." He tried to apologise.

"Um...Are we done here?" Monokuma interrupted with a little giggle. "If we are, then I'd like to begin the voting."

"Voting...We vote for who we think the killer is, right?" Hidemi assumed.

"Right! Now, all you have to do is select the face of the person you want to vote for and pull the lever that will appear on your podium to confirm it! If you all understand, then it's time for the spotless and the blackened to face off! It's...

"Voting Time!"

Just like Monokuma said, the screens on our podiums lit up with all sixteen of our faces. To the left of the screen, a lever rose up, waiting to be pulled.

So...I just pick Shunsuke's face and pull down the lever, right? Then this trial will be over.

Without hesitating, I selected Shunsuke and gripped my lever, easily pulling it down.

That should be it.

My screen flashed off and after a few moments, Monokuma spoke again.

"And that's all the votes! Now, please step off your podiums so I can go tally them."

Each of us got off, forming a crowd by Shunsuke, waiting for answers.

Well, we also awaiting our fates as we hoped we were right.
