"Ok... what would Steve do..."
"Punch a tree! ... wait... no that's a bad idea..."
The young teen look around the deserted island, then back at the ocean. "How... how am I gonna survive this-"
The teen walked over to a rock that was at sitting near by a bunch of coconut trees. He walked over to it and sat on it. "At least I have those coconuts..." he said to himself. "But how am I gonna reach it, or even open them..."
He decided to go to the water. He took off his shoes and walked into the ocean. "Maybe... someone will recuse me-" he said.
"Rescue you?" He heard someone say.
"Yes rescue me-" The teen then froze. Did he hear a voice?
He looked beside him, and saw what looked to be a guy with a merman tail, lying down in the sand. "I need someone to rescue me- can you put me back in the ocean?" The apparent merman asked.
The teen couldn't speak. Was he really seeing this? An actual merman?
"Y-you.. are a merman-" The teen said.
The merman nodded. "And you're... a...."
"I'm a human-" the teen said. "Oh.. " the merman said. "Well can you help me...?"
"Put you back in the ocean?"
The merman nodded.
The teen looked at him, then walked over to him, picked him up, then carried him over to the water, and put him down gently. "That you" the merman said. "Was swimming around, saw this place, got a little to curious... and well this happened."
"So... you said you're a human right? I don't think I know what that is"
"W-well... I am..."
The Merman looked at him. "Oh ok... uh... you want to come in the ocean with me?"
The Teen shook his head. "I-I can't... I can't breath water-"
"You can't? Oh..." The Merman curled up his tale, and sat on the bank of the island. The Teen walked over to him and sat down. "I think I was in a ship wreak... i.. don't remember much"
"Ship?" The Merman asked.
"Yeah..." The teen said. "It's this thing that can float on water"
"Wow..." the Merman looked interested. "So... I guess you're stranded here?" He asked. The Teen nodded. "I don't know how I'll survive this..."
"I was all alone once"
"You where?" The Teen asked. The merman nodded. "Yes. I was alone for days. At least I had fish to ea- wait... you eat don't you?"
The Teen nodded.
"That means you might be hungry" The merman jumped and dove into the ocean. The Teen must sat there, looking at the merman swimming farther into the water. "Where... is he going?"
In about two minutes, the Merman came back with a fish in his mouth. He gave it to the teen. "Here, you can eat this so you won't be hungry" he said with a smile.
"I-I... can't eat it raw.." The Teen said. "Raw? What's that-?"
"I'll need to cook it" The Teen said looking around. He was hoping that some sticks and twigs would be near by. "Cook?" The Merman asked tilting his head. The Teen nodded. He got up to go look for sticks. "Hey... you have a name right?"
The Merman nodded. "Yes I do. I'm Adrian Van Oceanum The IV King of the seven seas"
The Teen gasped. "You're a KING?!"
Adrien giggled. "No. Not yet anyways. My. Dad is the king"
"W-wait... so that means you're a prince!"
Adrian nodded. "Yeah."
The Teen kneeled down infront of him. Adrien figured out what he was doing. "You don't have to do that" he giggled a little. "But you're prince!" The Teen said. "But we're friends aren't we?" Adrian asked. The Teen looked at him. "U-uh.. I guess?"
Adrian smiled. "So what's your name?"
"I-I'm Josh..."
"Just Josh?" He asked. Josh nodded. "Just Josh" He chuckled.

Josh went to go look for some sticks, and came back a while later, and sat them on the sand, near the water. The waves where not rough, so Josh didn't fare of the waves putting out the fire.
Adrian watched him. "It's strange how.... you have to do all of this just to eat one fish"
"I know... sometimes I wish I didn't have to do all this cooking...but boy do I miss home" Josh said as he was rubbing the sticks together. Adrien saw a spark. "Woah!" He exclaimed. He clearly never seen fire before. "When you see the fire start, just don't touch it ok."
"Why?" Adrian asked. "Well... it'll burn you." Josh said. "Oh is it like... lava?" Adrian asked. "Y-yeah! It is. Less hot than it, but can still burn your fingers off"
"There is this underwater volcano near by where I live in the water. Father always tells me not to go there. In fact, he doesn't let any one go near it. It hasn't been active that much, but once every year it leaks some lava out. I just hope it doesn't fully explode."
"Hm.." Josh said. "I hope it doesn't to"
Josh rubbed the sticks harder, and the fire started. Adrien stared at it. "Woah... it's so beautiful!" He said. "It looks different than the lava"
"Just don't touch it ok?" Josh said as he took the fish, and put it on a stick. He then put the fish in the fire, and started to cook it. "Its... strange how you have to burn the fish to eat it-" Adrien said. Josh chuckled.
After a few, Josh took the fish out the fire, cooled it, and started to eat it. He took off a piece, and gave it to Adrian. "You want some?" He asked. Adrian shook his eat. "Nah, I ate already." He said. But Josh new he was just scared to try it cooked.
Adrian looked at what was on Josh. "Hey... Josh.. what is that?" He asked tugging at his shirt. "Is this apart of you?"
Josh shook his head. "No, it's not. It's called a shirt. Us human's just put it on to cover ourselves."
"Why would you want to cover this?" Adrian asked poking at his own belly. Josh blushed a little. "I don't know. We... just do.. I guess it's just something us humans adapted to" he said.
"You have one of these?" Adrian asked, poking at his own innie belly button. Josh blushed even more. "Y-yeah I do-"
"Oh, so I guess human's have similar parts then" Adrian said. Josh nodded. "Yeah I guess so."
"Can.. I see it Josh?"
Josh's blush darkened. "O-oh...um... alright..." he put his hand on his shirt and lifted it up, showing Adrian his belly button.
Adrian looked at it. "Wow it looks like mine!" He said as he put his finger in it, making Josh blushed madly. What Adrian doesn't know, is that Josh has belly button fetish. So all this talk about belly buttons, and the fact that Adrian just poked his, was making him die inside. And now, Josh really wanted to touch Adrian's belly button too.
"Adrian... can.. I touch yours?"
Adrian smiled. "Of course! Here touch it all you want"
Josh couldn't believe it. He happily inserted his finger into the mermaid's belly button. Adrian giggled. "It tickles a little" he said with a smile. Adrian was about to say something, but got cut off, by a loud bang, coming from the sky. Adrian and Josh both looked up, and saw a huge dark cloud, looming over them. It started to rain.
Josh didn't have anywhere to say safe from the rain. He didn't have any time to even build a small shelter.
"Shoot" Adrian said. "Josh, you'll have to come with me"
"But.. I can't breath water remember?"
"You'll just have to hold your breath for bit ok? The water castle isn't to far from here. I'll hold you. There is one room in the castle that has air. It's for us Mermen and Mermaids to experience air without going to the surface"
Josh wasn't sure. He failed at one segment at pool class when he couldn't hold his breath for 30 seconds. But one more look at the dark clouds told him it was worth a shot.
So he agreed.
Adrien nodded. "Meet me at in the water. Go to the part where it is just your head above water"
