CHAPTER 13: PANI PURI EATING COMPETITION
Jasmin reached Starbucks before that person so she thought to order something.
CASHIER- Hi ma'am. Your order?
JASMIN- Hi there. Okay can I get 2 white chocolate mocha frappuccino and 2 chocolate cookies. (Yeh meri Starbucks ki order hai😂)
CASHIER- And the names?
JASMIN- Jasmin and Aly. (Ha Aly se milne Starbucks ayi hai)
CASHIER- So Jasly? (Yaar yeh cashier to Jaslyian nikla😂😂😂)
JASMIN- Sorry what? No, no. Jasmin and Aly. 1 name per drink.
CASHIER- Oh okay. Have a seat ma'am. I will send your order to your table.
JASMIN(in her mind)- Yeh cashier pagal wagal to nahi hogaya? (Ji nahi cashier ne sahi bola. Aap hi dushman ho. Kiya hojata agar cup par Jasly likh deta to?Anyways)
Jasmin was sitting down for 10 mins and then Aly came.
ALY- Hi.
JASMIN- You are 10mins late Mr Goni. Now that's not very professional of you is it?
ALY(confused)- Erm what? Professional? I don't think I came here for any business meeting or any business related work so I don't consider that as professional,(under his breath) this is personal.
JASMIN- Kuch kaha?
ALY- A NO. I was saying did you order anything?
JASMIN- Yeh I did.
ALY- Okay let me go and order something for myself then.
JASMIN- Koi zaroorat nahi hai, mene order kardiya hai tum hare liye.
ALY- Well that's very sweet of you Miss Bhasin. Mein payments karke ata hoon.
JASMIN- No need.
ALY- Kiyoon? Starbucks ka owner tum hara chacha hai kiya?
JASMIN- Chacha ka pata nahi leken ek aur baar bakwaas kiya na to tum he tumari naani ki yaad zaroor dila doongi and by the way I paid already.
ALY- Accha Lady Don calm down.
JASMIN- KIYA? TUMNE MUJHE KIYA BOLKE PUKARA?
ALY- LADY DON.
JASMIN- Lady Don??? You waittt...
Just then the worker came holding their order.
WORKER- Your order ma'am.
ALY(while taking the drinks)- Thanks. You can go now.
JASMIN(grumpily)- Give it to me.
ALY(while handing her the drink and cookies)- Jas yeh kiya hai?
JASMIN- Kiya?
ALY(while taking the file from Jasmin)- Yeh.
JASMIN(while snatching it back from him)- Areh ruko to zara. You are so impatient.
ALY- Oh my God. Sorry Lady Don.
JASMIN(giving him the death stare)- Alyyyyyyyyy
ALY- Bapre meri maa bhi mujhe ese nahi ghurti hai jese tum ghurti ho. Anyways what am I doing here and why am I here?
JASMIN- Okay so basically meri bestfriend ki bhai ki shaadi ho rahi hai...
ALY(while cutting Jasmin off)- And what do you want me to do about it?
JASMIN- Aly suno toh pehle phir bolna.
ALY- Okay continue.
JASMIN- So mein unki wedding planner hoon aur sare functions ki outfits bhi mein dekh rahi hoon. So (while forwarding the file to Aly) Mr Goni I would like to sign a contract with you because I want all the wedding function's outfits made by your company. Deal?
ALY(while reading the papers)- Jasmin are you serious?
JASMIN- Do I look like I am joking with you? Dekho agar tumko manzoor nahi hai to bol do mein kahi aur check kar loongi.
ALY- No I mean Jasmin what are you?
JASMIN- Insaan?
ALY- Areh yaar🤦♀️... I mean Jasmin you are studying medicine but you are a good wedding planner and also you are cracking deals with me here??? Matlab tum hari koi fixed job nahi hai kiya? Like what are you? A doctor, wedding planner, designer or businesswoman?
JASMIN- I am going to be a doctor.
ALY- You are filled with talent. Matlab tum he dekh kar kon bolega ki yeh jhalli ladki ek doctor, wedding planner, designer and businesswoman hai?
JASMIN- Yeh compliment thi ya phir bezzati?
ALY- You should take it as a compliment.
JASMIN- Okay aab bolo, deal manzoor hai?
ALY- Yeh.
JASMIN- Yeh lo pen aur sign karo.
Aly then signed all the pages and handed the file to Jasmin.
ALY- So this was your important work?
JASMIN- Yes.
ALY- Okay come with me.
JASMIN- Kaha? Mujhe ghar jana hai. Aly I have only 3 months for all the preparations.
ALY- Yahi tum ladkiyoon ki problem hai. 3 months bohot lamba time hai Jas.
JASMIN- Yahi tum boys ki problem hai. 3 months kam time hai for a wedding preparation.
Aly then holds Jasmin's hand and drags her to his car.
JASMIN- Aly what are you doing? Hum kaha ja rahe hai?
Aly made Jasmin sit in the car and parked the car right next to a street food stall.
JASMIN- Aly....
ALY- Hmm
JASMIN- Hum yaha kiya kar rahe hai?
ALY- Mujhe pata hai tumhe street food bohot pasand hai so come let's go and eat some.
JASMIN- But all of a sudden...why?
ALY- Miss Bhasin will you stop interrogating me....ek second kahi tum ek police woman bhi to nahi ho?
JASMIN- Ughh ALYYYY stop it! Come let's go. HAIIIIII PANII PURIII
ALY- Puri ki puri bacchi hai yeh ladki.
They go to the stall and then Jas asks,
JASMIN- Aly for what reason are you giving me a treat?
ALY- You see Miss Bhasin I don't keep debts.
JASMIN- What do you mean Mr Goni?
ALY- See tumne mera hisse ka drink pay kiya tha Starbucks mein so I am paying you back.
JASMIN- You really didn't have to do that. Am I not your friend?
ALY- Ha of course tum mere dost ho.
JASMIN- Toh phir agar koi dost tume kuch deta hai tum usko udhaar samajte ho?
ALY- No but that's how I am. Okay fine take this as a treat I guess. Aab dada ko batao kiya khaoge.
JASMIN- Weseh mein tumko challenge karna chahti hoon.
ALY(looking at her suspiciously)- Challenge me on what?
JASMIN- Pani puri competition.
ALY- Oh you just got yourself into trouble Miss Bhasin.(Aly abhi bhi nahi samjha ki Jasmin kitni badi foodie hai)
JASMIN- Are you sure about that Mr Goni?
ALY- You will regret this. (Aly tum bada pachtaoge bada pachtaoge)
JASMIN- Dekhte hai.
ALY- Jo harega usko jitne wale jo bhi mange usko dena padega.
JASMIN- Done.
ALY- Are you sure?
JASMIN- 110% sure Mr Goni.
ALY- Okay then. Dada aaj aap pani puri banate rahiye.
JASMIN- Ha aur pani teekha wala dena. Dekhti hoon aaj Mr Goni kese jeeta hai.
ALY- I don't fear spice Miss Bhasin.
JASMIN- Dekhte hai.
They sat down on a table facing each other. Itni jaldi jaldi kha rahe dono ke woh stall ke dada ko pani puri banate banate haat dukhne laga tha.
JASMIN- DADA EK AUR PLATE DO.
ALY- DADA MUJHE BHI.
They were eating very fast but kept on looking at each other after taking one pani puri. Suddenly, Jasmin started to cough alot because she chocked on the teekha pani. Aly quickly got up from his chair and went to Jasmin. He patted her back but she was still coughing. He gave her water to drink but it still didn't help. He then held her chin and pulled it up due to which they had an eye contact. Because she was coughing for a long time , Jasmin's eyes started to tear up. Aly grabbed his handkerchief from his pocket and started to wipe the tears that were coming out from the side of her eyes. Meanwhile Jasmin was just lost into his big, light brown eyes. After a few seconds Aly broke the silence.
ALY- You good?
Jasmin then just nodded and Aly moved back.
JASMIN- Thanks.
ALY- Are you thanking me because you lost?
JASMIN- Erm what? I didn't lose.
ALY- Yes you did because you literally just chocked and had a whole cough attack right there.
JASMIN- HEY! That's not fair. I didn't lose. I am still going to keep on going. DADA one more plate please.
ALY- DADA NO NEED. Isko phir se problem ho jayegi. Anyways Miss Bhasin you lost.
JASMIN- You cheater.
ALY- Whatever.
JASMIN- ALYYYYY...YOU..Ughhhh...You know what just leave it.
Aly pays the man on the stall while Jasmin walks off towards the car.
ALY- Jasmin
Jasmin then turns around and then gives him a "what do you want now look".
Aly then started to walk towards Jasmin and soon he was super close to Jasmin which made Jasmin walk backwards. Aly kept on walking till she bumped into the car door. They had a very intense eye contact the whole time. He then started to come closer and closer to her face.
JASMIN- Aly...w..what do you want?
ALY- Didn't we say that that loser has to give the winner whatever they ask for?
JASMIN- Y...yes but uhm..what do you want?
Jasmin was soo nervous that she ended up closing her eyes. Aly then went near her ears and whispered,
ALY- Actually mujhe abhi kuch nahi chahiye tumse but I will tell you when I want something from you.
Aly then moves back and opens the door for Jasmin. When Jasmin felt that Aly has moved back, she slowly opened her eyes and then sat inside the car.
JASMIN(in her mind)- What the hell was that? Jasmin tujhe kiya hogaya tha? Why are you behaving like this all of a sudden?
