A shriek fills the air
Then a roar
Your body shakes
As feet slam the floor
Hands clasp and unclasp
Clutching your side
Until your head falls back
Mouth reforming a smile
I watch from the outskirts
Wondering how it's possible
For one to be that happy
To release such laughter
I am sad by no means
But exuberant enthusiasm
Such as your screams
Are as alien to me as
The majesties of
African Savannah
