Back Then

Back then
I just needed a friend
Not a damn girlfriend
But when I told you it couldn't be
You abandoned me
When I needed you most
When my life was falling apart at the seams
And now you come back trying to wash your hands clean
Trying to act like you didn't rip my heart open just to watch me bleed
Take a step back and watch what you try to do to me
I may have left the past behind
But I won't ever forget a damn thing
We can be fair-weather friends
And we can hang out
But don't expect me to be there in the end
To pick up the broken pieces you just can't seem to mend
And when your head is filled with doubts
Don't expect me to clear them out
I'll be with you for now
Yeah, we'll laugh
And we'll joke
But you were the one that made this friendship broke
You took your best friend and turned him to smoke
Now you're left with nothing but words to choke
I'll see you next weekend,
