We aren't friends anymore.
We're facades too afraid
to face the facts around:
forced conversations fit
from time to time fairly
acquainted, hiding frowns.
We aren't friends anymore.
We're faces from the past
facing flames from pyres
fading familial attachment
and faking familiar dances
that stand feebly for now.
We aren't friends anymore
Because you're never around.
