Knight in Shining Armor

I am not your knight in shining armor.
How can I be, when you pushed me into mud
and scratched all the luster that gleamed?
You tore me down
where you could have raised me up.
You took my horse and made me steed.
You took my sword and made me bleed.
All the shine and glow, you swallowed
like a chaste succubus turning me cold.
I cannot vanquish your dragons.
I cannot conquer their armies.
I am not your knight in shining armor.
I will never be.
