Chaeyoung was busy fixing the bed of her Mom while the old woman is sitting on the wheelchair in front of the window and looking outside.
It's been four days since Chaeyoung's mother was discharged from the hospital.
"Chaeyoung..."
"Ye Eomma?" Chaeyoung quickly jumped off the bed and run to her mother's side.
The old woman turn to her side to face Chaeyoung, she then cupped the latter's face.
"What is it Eomma?" Chaeyoung get down in one knee, so that her Mom won't have a hard time on holding her face
The old woman smiled "I will leave you and your brother one day, and that day is unpredictable..."
"Eomma, don't say that" Chaeyoung
"Let's be true Chaeyoung... But before I go, I want to make sure that both of you are doing fine"
"Eomma, stop saying those... It's like you're telling me your last words" Chaeyoung
"Chaeyoung, you have to accept it... One day I'll be gone but you will never be alone... You have a lot of people who loves you... Can you bring my box here?" Her mother asked
Chaeyoung nodded and stood, she head to the closet and look for her mother's precious box. It's the one where she kept her jewelries.
Chaeyoung came back to her mother with the box on her hand. The ill woman use her strong hand to open it and reach for something.
She took a ring and handed it to Chaeyoung... The cub then put down the box on the table, then look at the ring that her mother gave.
"That belongs to your grandmother, she gave that to me... And now, I want you to have that... Give it to Mina and ask her for marriage"
"Eomma, I don't think it's the right time for that" Chaeyoung replied
"Why? Isn't she the girl that you want to spend the rest of your life with?"
Before Chaeyoung could answer, she heard the sound of the door. Her brother came.
Chaeyoung then look at her mother "Hyung's here, I'll go now Eomma... I'm going to meet someone"
"Is that Mina?" Her Mom asked with a smile
Chaeyoung shook her head "It's Yeri, a friend... I promise to meet her tonight"
Chaeyoung smiled to her mother before greeting her brother Kai. She then leave after that to meet up with Yeri.
"Chaeyoung" Yeri greeted with a smile
"I'm sorry for being late" Chaeyoung apologize
Chaeyoung smiled back and give the latter a hug before she sat on the empty chair across Yeri.
They are now in a restaurant, since Chaeyoung promised to go out with the latter.
Unbeknownst to her is a pair of eyes is watching her from afar... Those eyes with a look that can kill anytime.
"The boys will be the ring bearer?" Chaeyoung asked
Tzuyu nodded "Yeah, we planned to let them have each ring"
"How was your Mom anyway?" Tzuyu
"Just the same" Chaeyoung replied "I already told Dad about her condition"
"What did he said?" Tzuyu
"He got mad at me for not telling him earlier... He says he's sorry for not being their for me and Kai oppa" Chaeyoung replied
"Are you staying on your Mom's house?" Tzuyu
Chaeyoung nodded "Yeah, I haven't been on my Dad's place since Eomma was discharged from the hospital"
"That's the reason why I can't contact you the past few days" Tzuyu
"I'm also busy with work" Chaeyoung
"Ohw... You're working with Yeri, right?" Tzuyu
Chaeyoung nodded "Yeah... Thanks to her"
"Anyways, my wedding will be in two months.. Don't you dare ditch me on my special day" Tzuyu
Chaeyoung laughed "I never thought you'll get married"
"Yah! We already have kids" Tzuyu hissed "How about you? When do you plan to settle down?"
Chaeyoung shrugs her shoulders "I don't know... When I was in L.A, I keep on planning my future with Mina but when I came back, she's about to get married... and that person is not me"
"Chaeyoung, that all happened three weeks ago" Tzuyu
"Yeah... That's just three weeks ago, isn't it too fast for me to settle down after that experience... You can't just get hurt today and get married tomorrow" Chaeyoung
Tzuyu nodded in agreement "Make sense tho... You're gonna enjoy your bachelor's life first"
Chaeyoung chuckles, remembering something that happened recently "Speaking of... Are you planning for a party before your wedding? You know, a bachelor's party" she asked, wiggling her brows
Tzuyu laughs "Don't ever say that in front of Sana... I'll definitely be in great trouble"
"Then let's make it a secret party" Chaeyoung replied with a laugh

Chaeyoung greet her Father and stepmom when she gets home and found them in their usual spot, which is the living room.
"Where's Seungjae?" Chaeyoung asked
"He's still in school" Mrs. Son replied
Chaeyoung nodded "I'm just in my room whenever you need me"
Her parents smile and nodded, Chaeyoung then went upstairs. She was exhausted because a lot of things happened lately.
"Mina unnie" Chaeyoung smiled upon seeing Mina sitting on her bed when she open the door of her room.
"You haven't called" Mina
"I was busy with work, I just got hired... And it's dangerous to use cellular phone in the site" Chaeyoung explained
Mina bites her inner cheek "Is that so?"
Chaeyoung nodded and close the door behind her before walking towards the bed.
"Did you wait for me?" Chaeyoung asked when she gets beside Mina. She then plant a kiss on the latter's head.
"I saw you yesterday" Mina utter while looking down "Is Yeri a part of your job too?"
Chaeyoung chuckles before sitting on the bed, beside Mina.
"I promised to meet her, she's the one who helped me to get a job in their firm" Chaeyoung
Mina look at Chaeyoung "So you're working together?"
"Not really... No" Chaeyoung replied "We have different projects"
Mina nodded "But you were in the same company"
"What's with the sudden interrogation?" Chaeyoung asked.
Chaeyoung already have a hint that Mina's trying to dig something, which she will never admit, for it will cause trouble.
"Chaeyoung, we're already together, right?" Mina asked all of a sudden
Chaeyoung smiled and nodded "If that's what you want"
Mina's eyebrows furrowed "What do you mean if that's what I want?!"
Chaeyoung gulp, she actually means that Mina's wish is her command but she said it in a wrong way.
"U- uhm..." Chaeyoung stuttered
She was thinking of the next right word until Mina spoke.
"I'm pregnant" Mina confessed, sternly
And with that, Chaeyoung's world stops... She looks so shock as she stood on the bed and walk away from Mina...
Chaeyoung turned her back and face the window, her heavy gasped didn't go unheard by the penguin who's still on the bed and waiting for her reply.
Mina was about to cry, she haven't hear a word from the latter and that made her worry...
"WOOOOOOO!" Chaeyoung suddenly screamed with her hands up in the air
Chaeyoung then face Mina and kneel in front of the latter, she then kiss the latter's clothed tummy while saying "I love you..." she again plant a kiss on Mina's tummy "I love you..." And another kiss before saying the same words "I love you..."
Chaeyoung hugged Mina's waist and bury her face on the latter's neck... Mina didn't hold back, she gave Chaeyoung the same warmth by hugging back.
They then heard foots, running near the room.
