Hermione was silently crying into her pillow when she heard a knock at the door. She looked over to Ginny and saw that she was still fast asleep. She got up and opened the door. No one was there. The doorway was empty.
Hermione looked down and saw an envelope. She picked it up and immediately recognized the handwriting. She closed the door and went to sit on her bed. She tore it open and started to read.
Dear Hermione,
I know you're mad at me and want nothing to do with me. I know you hate me for what I did and I know you will never forgive me for leaving you. But I also know that despite all that, you still love me.
I know that you, Harry, and Ron are going on a mission and will probably leave after the wedding. I know that we might not all survive this god awful war. But I want you to know that I still love you.
I want you to know that I still love you and that I will find you after the war and never let you go. I love you with all my heart.
