Chapter 32.

Shawn's P.O.V

Tess is so beautiful. Why does she have to be so beautiful? Why did she ever feel the need to cut? I look at her face and I see hurt, and I don't want too. She tucks her blonde-ish brown hair behind her ear and her hazel eyes are sparkling. The tints of green and gold telling all of her emotions but not her secrets, or what she's thinking. I grab her and pull her in for a hug. She lets out a deep breath and I want to hold her forever. I think she knows that I like her, but how would she like me? This time, I'm keeping my cool. I let her arms fall away from me like leaves leaving cold branches. I see her eyes water and she turns away. We sit in silence, except for the quiet whimper coming from her even as she try's to hold tears in. I grab my guitar without thinking, and start to play. I pull out some lyrics and match the tune of the song I'm about to play. It's one I wrote to play at Magcon, but I wrote it about her. I open my mouth to sing.

I finish the singing part and end it gently on my guitar. Then I look up at her face. She's smiling. I smile back.

"Did you write that?" She scootches closer to me.
"Yeah." I shrug and look down at her.
"Thanks for cheering me up." She reached for my hand.
"I hoped that I would." My heart was beating really fast.
"Shawn, did you write that song fo-" I knew what she was going to say.
"Yeah, yeah I did. I mean- uh, do you like it? Cause if you don't, I can like change it or something?" I open my mouth to speak again but she interrupts.
"It's my new favourite song." She's smiles then leans in. I lean back. My palms are sweaty and my heart is pounding. Our lips touch and a spark of electricity goes through my body. I tuck her soft hair behind her ear and the kiss gets more intense. Butterflies fill my insides and I smile into the kiss. She's already smiling. Tess wraps her arms around my neck and shoulders and my other hand finds her waist. We finally break away from the kiss.

"Wow." My voice is a whisper but I know she heard.
"Yeah," She blushes and looks at the ground.
"Wow." She looks up at me and then we both blush cause we're both staring at each other. She's so cute when she blushes. Then she tries to stand up but stumbles and falls on top of me on the bed. I don't mind though. I don't until the door opens and the guys loudly barge in. Matt and Cam throw a bag of food on the bed, and then they see us. They see Tess on top of me. She jumps off, but their faces are frozen.

"We weren't doing that-she fell." I stand beside Tess.
"Sure she did. Whatever, I'm out of here." Matt turns around glaring at me and rolling his eyes at Tess.
"Yeah, same. Guess you two don't know what 'behave yourselves' means. Oh well, have fun guys." Cam turns on his heel and slams the door. Tess has tears forming her eyes.
"Woah woah, it's okay. Tess, they'll be fine in about 2 hours, tomorrow by the latest. Come here." I open my arms to her and she falls into them. I kiss the top of her head and I wrap my arms even more around her. We stay just like that for a long long time.

Cams P.O.V

I can't believe Tess. I was already mad at her earlier, but I forgot about it. Now I'm even more mad. She needs to make up her fucking mind. She has three guys. Why are we all waiting for her? Every time I try to even not think about her, I fail. But every time I stay, I get broken by her. She's gorgeous, funny, nice, and she makes me feel so different. Shawn can win her over with music. Matt can win her over, because he seems to know most about her. How can I win her over? It's not a fair game to play. I haven't kissed her yet, we haven't done anything yet. Even though I really want to, I'm waiting for her to be ready, plus I don't want to hurt the guys. Shawn doesn't seem to care however. Tomorrow we are leaving this hotel and going to a different one, so maybe I'll be with Tess. And since it's our last night here she gets to choose who she's gonna share the bed with tonight. Of course she'll pick Shawn anyway but oh wells. My phone buzzed and I peered at my screen.

Tess:
'Hey. Sorry for earlier, we only kissed and when I got up to go, I fell. Can we please talk? :( Or can you maybe come back to the room?'

Of course she wanted to talk. Wonder why? Probably so she can tell me how much she enjoyed the taste of Shawn's face. I just ignored the text and went to Starbucks. I ordered a coffee then I went to the bathroom. I came out to get my coffee when I saw Tess at a table, hovered over her phone. She typed something onto her screen, and then my phone buzzed again. I pulled it out of my pocket and clicked it open.

Tess:
'Are you there?'

I sighed and went to grab my drink. Tess stood up too and then walked over to the booth. I turned my face away.

"Cotton Candy Frappe?" The lady called out and Tess's hand reached out to grab the drink.

"Plain coffee!" The lady yelled and I raised my hand, hoping Tess wouldn't see me. She did.

"Cameron? I've been texting you, how come you haven't responded?"

"I've been busy." I grabbed my coffee and turned away.

"You know, my phone tells me when you've read them!" She ran after me.

"Yup, I know." I nodded and walked faster. I was just by the window when I stopped short. There, outside of Starbucks, was a skinny little slut eating Shawn's face. Two chicks in one day, wow. Unfortunately, Tess saw too. She froze by the window beside me, and a single tear fell down her face.

"Oh my gosh, Tess, are you okay?" I turned to face her. She turned to look at me too, and she nodded. We looked back out the window and the girl and Shawn weren't kissing anymore, he was just yelling at her. Maybe this isn't what it looks like. I sat Tess down, then ran outside. Shawn's eyes widened when he saw me.

"Cam, please don't tell Tess, it's-it's not what it looks like. At all." He looked like he ment it.

"She already saw Shawn." I pointed to the Starbucks window, and his face fell when he saw her. The skinny girl blew Shawn a kiss, and ran off.

"Dude, she kissed me! She's a crazy fan and she just attacked me. I tried to push her off, and the second time it worked. That's it. That's all. I didn't even like it." Shawn was frantically spilling the story to me.

"It's fine. Just tell her that. Maybe she'll listen to you." I smiled and turned away from Shawn.

"Why are you being so nice to me? I thought you were mad." Shawn looked confused.

"I'm still your friend, and I wanna protect Tess. I still like her, Shawn. I don't want to see either of you get hurt." I walked away, then saw Tess standing in front of Starbucks.

"I heard it all. Thank you Cam. And Shawn, I mistrusted you. Sorry." She looked down at the ground.

"You don't have to apologize for anything, Tess. I do. I'm sorry. I really really am." She grinned and ran to hug-him. Not me. I walked away slowly, and once I was out of distance, I ran. I ran as fast as I possibly could.
