"my legs hurt" jungkook whined, following hae down aisle after aisle
hae scoffed, placing another item of clothing into the pile in his arms, "weak"
he straightened up, "im not weak!" he protested
hae rolled her eyes playfully, "you can't even walk around the mall for an hour without whining like a child"
"in my defence, i've never been shopping with a girl before"
hae kept her back towards him, pretending she didn't hear him and continuing to sift through the displayed clothing
her cheeks were on fire
they walked towards the changing area, hae picking the 3 dresses out of his arms and entering a stall. he slumped onto the small sitting areas outside, exhausted
she tried on the first one, staring at herself in the mirror.
i look fat
she frowned, she had loved the colour but her insecurities overtook her.
she tried on the next one,
still fat
she poked at the little bit of skin that made her look larger.
maybe it's not the dress...
she tried on the last one but was disappointed, not happy with how she looked in the reflection staring back at her
she'd just have to borrow one of her mother's dresses. they were a little larger than her size so she wouldn't stand out too much
she put back on her clothing, grabbing the dresses and heading out
"that was quick, did you choose one?" jungkook asked, looking up from his phone
hae bit her lip, "uh...i like one of my moms so i'll wear that one... there's no point of wasting mone—"
"go try on each one and show me" he interrupted
hae froze
no no no
this couldn't be happening
"jungkook, it's fine, i want to go home"
jungkook rolled his eyes, standing up and pushing her back into the changing stall with her dresses, "hurry, ill be waiting outside"
her heart hammered in her chest
she didn't want him to see her
all the parts of her that she hated
"jungkook...please..."
he sighed, his expression softening, "what's wrong hae? you're going to look so pretty in these..."
