The blades

I woke up due to the sun shining brightly through my eyelids. I fluttered my eyes trying to adjust to the bright light, I estimated it was early in the morning and I would soon have to get up ready for my run.

I went to pull the covers off and I slipped my legs off the bed so I could stand but two arms snaked around my waist and stopped me "hmm five more minutes" newt spoke in a tried and husky voice. I laid back down and faced him "I got to go" I spoke
"Not unless I let you" he smirked he then buried his head into my stomach and his arms tightened.
"Newt, minho will kill me if I'm late" I replied
I could see the ends of his lips perk up "let him he won't get far" he smiled
"Fine if you're going to be like that" I spoke
Newts head lifted of my stomach and confusion filled his face...he probably thought he hurt my feelings with his words
I then wrapped my arms around newts waist and I rolled sideways making us both land hard on the solid floor.

The wind was knocked out of me as newt landed on top of me....that didn't really go as planned I thought
I huffed as I tried to breath with the bag if bricks which was now on me
"Looks like you're definitely not going anywhere today then" he smirked
"Get of me" I pushed at his bare chest...the heat filled my cheeks as I remember the awkwardness last night.
"Did your little plan not work how you wanted" he pouted
"Ok come on newt seriously get off, after I'm done running I'm all yours" i replied
He gave me a smirk and pulled himself off if me.

I then got changed in a quick dash, ignoring that newt was looking (don't worry I wasnt completely naked)I placed a long sleeved shirt over a vest top I wore and i had cargo trousers with my boots.
I turned my head backwards to look at newt and he gave me a smile, I ran into his chest and I melted into his arms and his muscles were tensed
"Be careful" he spoke low and serious
"Always" I replied
He pulled away and placed both hands on each side of my face
"Promise" he questioned with worry
"Promise" I smiled
He returned the smile and kissed my lightly but passionately
He pulled away "now get your ass out of here" he smiled
I walked out the door "I love you" I shouted out as I headed down the stairs
"I love you more" he shouted back
By the way he spoke I knew he couldn't conceal a smile...neither could I.

I headed over to the east doors and saw Minho waiting tapping his foot impatiently. "What took you so shucking long" he exclaimed
"Erm got held up" I looked around "where's thomas" I questioned
"I don't know thought he would be with you" he looked at me
"No" I replied
"Here" minho passed me a runners back pack "and these" he passed me a few pocket knives "you never know when you might need them" he smiled
"Thanks" I smiled back

"Maybe it was a mistake making you two runners" minho rolled his eyes
I looked around again looking for thomas
That's when my eyes landed on a figure running this way
"Hey sorry I'm late" thomas said out of breath
"What happened" I questioned
"Well...chuck thought it would have been a good idea to put mud in my shoes" he spoke
I started laughing and Minho started to lightly laugh
"Not funny I had to clean it all out" thomas spoke serious "but I got the sucker back I put some of frypan's left over stew from last night in his shoes" he smiled
"Oh I think you're going to have a little competition going on there" I laughed
Thomas rolled his eyes
"Ok that's enough you two have already wasted enough time...let's go" minho started to jog off and me and thomas followed

We took off in the maze whizzing around corners and taking long strides down corridors. We then approached a outer section that neither me or thomas had seen before.
It wasn't like the maze it didn't have thick stone walls creating several corridors instead it was thin long pillars scattered over a huge clearing with a concrete ground.

"What is this place" thomas questioned as we slowed down into a walk
"We call them blades" minho replied
Me and thomas raised our heads looking high and low at our surroundings we soon stopped when we bumped into the back of Minho who took an emergency stop
We followed minhos gaze to the floor and noticed there was parts of clothing that was ripped and covered completely in blood
Minho picked up the shirt that was covered in blood
"Is that" thomas questioned
"Yep" minho replied dropping the shirt back on the floor
I pulled my hand to my mouth in horror "ben" I whispered
