Parang kidlat sa bilis ang araw. Next thing I know ay sembreak na. Sobrang saya namin ni Eina dahil pasado kami pareho sa lahat ng subject. Well, as for Yoseff it's already expected na maipapasa niya.
So, that being said...we can enjoy our sembreak. Linggo ngayon at sa susunod na week ay simula na ng break.
Ilang linggo na rin ang nakakaraan hindi pa din ako nakaka-move on sa kiss namin ni Yoseff. Ang lakas ng tili ni Eina habang gumugulong sa aking kama dahil ikinuwento ko sa kanya iyon.
Iiling-iling ko siyang pinanood habang naka-upo ako sa swivel chair ko na kinuha ko mula sa study area ko.
"Mare! Nakakaloka naman. Sana all, may kiss 'pag pumasa!" She's smiling so wide. Dumapa siya at humarap sa akin. Pinatong niya ang baba niya sa kanyang palad. "I'm so happy for you, Mare. Sadyang napapa-sana all na lang talaga ako dahil dream come true talaga 'yang nangyari sa'yo! Sana ganyan din kami ni Mr. Orvilla."
Tumawa ako.
"Hoy, Eina, twenty-seven na si Mr. Orvilla!" Pinandilatan ko siya.
Tinaas baba niya ang kanyang mga kilay.
"Edi mas maganda..para lang 'yan wine..The older, the better." She winked.
Kinuha ko ang unan na malapit sa akin at binato iyon sa kanya.
"Eina!!"
She laughed loudly.
"Joke lang..pero..half meant." She smiled maliciously.
Pinandilatan ko siya.
"Eina! Sinasabi ko sa'yo!"
"Opo..joke lang naman...behave lang ako. Duh, ayoko naman na ipatapon ako ng parents ko sa America. Tapos all girls school?" She faked a gag. "No, I think I'm alright."
I chuckled lightly.
Half na Amerikana si Eina and her parents are quite strict when it comes to fooling around at school. Hindi dito pinanganak si Eina. They came here when she was three and they stayed here dahil they just liked it here. So, she has dual citizenship.
If she fooled around and that made permanent or serious damage. She will study abroad which ayaw niya. Dahil according to her, mas masaya dito kumpara sa abroad.
"By the way, anong plano mo sa birthday mo?"
She removed the curlers from her hair. Alas diyes pa lang ng umaga ay nandito na 'yan and she's wearing those curlers. She came straight here wearing her oversized t-shirt and sweatpants. Ganoon daw niya ako ka-miss.
"Hmm...simple dinner lang. You know me, I don't like parties."
She nodded. She sighed as she sat straight up.
"Mare, may sasabihin ako. You'll probably gonna get mad.."
I bit my lower lip. Seryoso akong tumingin sa kanya.
"Ano 'yon?"
"As much as I hated it. Sa Virginia ko ii-spend ang sembreak ko.."
My shoulders sagged as I heard the name of her hometown in the U.S. My mouth parted in disappointment.
"So, you're not gonna be here on my birthday?" I sadly asked.
Malungkot din siyang tumango. Umupo ako sa kama.
"Yeah...my parents forced me to go dahil may family reunion daw which I don't really care about...but they said it's either I'll come or they will ground me for the whole summer. Which means no hangouts for us..So, I had to be smart."
