He only felt bad that they would be living away from them and yet so close together. If they were to live in the UK, it would make visiting them so much easier than it would be now. Right now, they always had to plan, when would they be able to come over for a visit, it was more than just driving an hour away from London, they had to plan an entire trip, taking a plane or train to go see them.

He knew that asking her grandparents to move, to whom he and Amelia were closest to move to the UK would be unfair to them as well. They had to work a lot and he knew of the tradition in this family, they met up at least once a week to have drinks with each other. That wouldn't be a possibility if they were to move with them to the UK. And though he would like to ask them, he knew they'd probably say yes, they'd never be happy there. Because they would be without the rest of their family, maybe if others of her family were to join them, they would consider it, but that wasn't the case, for now.

"As Amelia said Liliane and Willy, you'll always be important to us, I can be myself here and that's always been important to me. This has been my home away from home and I could never forget that. I know that we have a busy life and that things will only increase as we take on more and more work. But I want you to know that you'll always be welcome, whenever you wish to come over, and we of course will try to come over as much as possible as well. I never want you to feel like you've been forgotten, both of you have given me something special and I'll always be in your debt because of it." Alex explained to both as he saw them getting emotional by his declaration, but he was being honest to them about what he had said.

"We understand, it's just hard to remember when we saw coverage of you guys out and about here in Belgium at the palace with the politicians." Her gran admitted as Alex reached over to her, wrapping his arm around her as he was closer to her than Amelia was.

"We'd rather spend time with you than any of them. We have to be diplomatic though and that's what you saw us doing, or at least an attempt when it came to Amelia." He teased her as she smirked at him, and he couldn't help but let out a chuckle at that.

"Amelia wasn't too crazy about being there and getting her ass kissed as she called it, she tried to avoid as many as possible, I don't think anyone else noticed, but I did." Alex continued to tease her as she shrugged her shoulders at him whilst tilting her head at him with a raise of her brow, before getting up when the doorbell rung and in front of her there was nearly her entire family for dinner tonight. She'd sent Kate and William a message and they should close to arriving.

Kate was now almost 34 weeks pregnant and like with all other pregnancies she was making it seem like a walk in the park. She wondered how much she managed to walk in 10 cm heels with that large of a baby bump. Most of her family, except for her direct family hadn't met anyone in the royal family yet. So, Kate and William were the first people they get to meet when it came to Alex's family.

"Haven't they arrived yet?" her mum wondered as she shook her head at her.

"They should be arriving any moment, we sent them a text to leave Brussels about an hour ago." Amelia explained to her mum as she started to greet every one of her family and friends who'd long been considered family.

By the time she was finished, the doorbell rang again this time, and it was Kate and William stood in front of her.

"So, this is the house you grew up in?" Kate asked her as she tilted her head from side to side with a smile on her face.

"Yes, indeed." She confirmed to them with a nod of her head as they smiled at her, whilst kissing her cheek in greeting.

"It must have been peaceful." Will pointed out to her as they handed her their coats so she could hang them up whilst nodding her head at them.
