Oh My Richard you fell asleep,
Oh my Richard you've left me.
The war it toke you from my arms,
From our children and from our love.
Oh my Richard, I love you so dear,
Oh my Richard, I wish i could hold you.
If only, If only.
You never got to see your boy,
He looks like you oh what a kid he is,
He's just like you in every way.
Judith cries for you in her sleep,
Begging please let me see daddy.
She cries and she cries to have you near,
But you're gone, we won't see you again.
You tried your best to survive,
But the war toke you in the night.
Oh my Richard i miss you my dear,
Oh my Richard, I wish you were near.
I've loved you always and always will,
Till my last breath when i join you again.
Oh my Richard you fell asleep,
Oh my Richard why did you leave.
We were happy, we had a child,
But you were taken from our arms.
I never saw you after that day,
Not until your funeral came.
Oh my Richard, please rest your head.
We'll be fine even if we cry.
Oh my Richard I love you so dear,
I'll see you soon my dear.
