I do not fear change,
I greet it with open arms.
When something changes inside you,
Things change all around you.
The way you see life,
The way you see yourself.
You hear the word "You can't",
And it makes you not believe in yourself.
You fall into a depression,
Where you start to cry,
Because you're tired of it.
The sadness stirs inside of you,
Gripping on your soul,
Never wanting to let it go,
Not until you tell it too.
You lose your smile, you lose your hope,
Until one day out of the blue,
Something has changed inside of you.
The sky is blue, your mind is clearer,
You may even trickle out a smile.
Then you see all your possibilities,
Knocking at your door.
A little bit of hope, A little bit of happiness,
Fills you up inside.
Thinking of the life you're about to leave behind.
