Repentance is vital to salvation, and so is belief in Jesus, faith and obedience.
Psalm 80
The Lord is our Shepherd. Only He can save us. He is strong enough. The worst thing that can happen is the Lord to turn His back on us. Perhaps that is why it's repeated three times! The Lord doesn't hear the prayer if iniquity is hidden in our heart.
We are the branches on the Vine- Christ. We are His. Thank You Lord for being our Saviour! Quicken us. We call only on Your Name. You alone can save.
Matthew 4
Jesus Himself was tempted. This is why He understands our dilemma! Jesus with Scripture, and we should too. Resist the devil, don't even ponder his offers!
Jesus preached repentance. Clearly it's imperative. He does the calling. Obey immediately. Forsake all, including your desires to follow Him. Blessed be He who calls! Compassion spurred His ministry. No one out of His reach.
