In the days that past since the ghost incident, Rebekah hadn't allowed Audrey to leave her side. With the way things were between her and Elena, Rebekah was the only one Audrey told about what happened with the werewolves. She didn't want to worry Caroline, who'd been hesitant about letting the Gilbert girl wander off on her own that night, knowing there would be dangerous ghosts wandering around Mystic Falls. Neither Rebekah or Audrey told Klaus what happened, deciding it was best not to worry him from however far away he was.

The two girls were outside with the rest of the cheerleading team once classes were over, the Mikaelson girl changed into her practise clothes, while Audrey sat and watched on the nearest bench. All the girls were trying to learn some of the gymnast tricks Rebekah knew, the ones some of them had yet to master, and Audrey was in no mood to attempt them herself. She knew she'd end up breaking a bone somehow.

"Rey." With a small sigh, Audrey looked up from the book she had resting in her lap, locking eyes with her sister. "Can we talk?"

Audrey glanced over at Rebekah, who was too engrossed in the girls to notice Elena's arrival. "What about?" She raised a brow.

"What I said, it wasn't right." Elena admitted honestly, making a look of surprise form on Audrey's face. "I was judging something before I had even tried to understand it. That wasn't fair."

Audrey nodded. "Thank you." She said. "Look, I want to explain it to you, Elena. But every time I think I understand it, something new happens, and I'm back at square one. It's not like ever have much information when that happens, anyway."

"But." Elena started, and Audrey withheld the urge to roll her eyes. She should have seen that coming. Once again, it was like one step forward and two steps back with her sister. "About Rebekah and Klaus, I--"

"Oh, goody." Rebekah mused sarcastically, as she appeared at the youngest twin's side. She didn't attempt to hide her grim expression as she looked at Elena. "You."

Elena looked back at her calmly. "I was hoping we could talk."

"About what? Stefan?" Rebekah asked, waving her off.  "Don't worry, I'm off him until he starts treating me better. In fact, you should probably take a page out of my book, if I'm being honest."

"Actually, I'd rather talk about this." Pulling a photo from her bag, she holds it up, making the colour drain from Rebekah's face. Audrey looked at it curiously, to see a name carved into a cave wall, the writing registering as viking script. "I'm curious why you and Klaus have spent a thousand years running from your father."

Rebekah tried to hide the look that had appeared in her eyes, clearing her throat as she turned on her heel. "I should get back to the girls. Homecoming's right around the corner."

Elena crossed her arms over her chest. "Well then, maybe I'll ask Mikael when we wake him."

The Original instantly spun back around to face her. "You're bluffing! You don't know where he is. No one does."
