Team VMPR sat within their dorm. Their minds still hung on what had happened the previous night. They weren't the only ones to see Yang turn and put one in Mercury's knee. But they didn't believe that Yang did that just hurt to him. But they didn't know whether to believe Yang's story: He attacked first. They had a theory that either Price or someone else with a similar semblance tricked Yang into believing that Mercury was about to attack her. They chose not to dwell on it for now For the rest of the day, they did their usual task such as relaxing, analysis, training, and minor contemplation. Then night rolled around the planet of Remnant as the people of Vale began to settle down in houses, bars, and other places where they could watch and see who the Victor would be
Penny and Marcus stand across from each other within the Vytal Tournament Arena. Penny was estatic to fight against him, whether she won or not. Marcus on the other hand, was slightly nervous. He had this feeling that something wasn't right. Like something was gonna go wrong and there was nothing to prevent it Penny greets Marcus with enthusiasm, but Marcus doesn't give any kind of response. He just stands there with his axe hand and a blank expression adorned on his face Port: Begin!
Penny's blade fly out from her back and towards Marcus. Marcus runs forward; dodging and blocking the swords as he approaches Penny. The broad side of his axe comes careening towards Penny's abdomen, but gets countered when leaps over it and her swords come back. Striking him in multiple places before he swings the large axe around himself, knocking the blades to the side before rushing at Penny once more. As he closes in, he prepares his axe to strike with precision. It's fast and precise in movement as hits Penny with perfectly sets up for a bit of a "combo." Multiple punches with a couple swings of his axe here and there, but all are done with a guarantee success. One of Penny's swords begins taking aim at the unknowing Marcus, and opens revealing a barrel of a gun. Slowly a green light begins to brighten until a plasma bullet flies out and strikes Marcus in the knee. Soon after the other swords begin to follow in the other's lead and fire upon Marcus. Soon the firing stops and Marcus stands, but a slight struggle to do so, but the cheers from his teammates spur him on. The swords fly back to their puppeteer and form a circle in front of her, and start spinning
Marcus readies himself for the attack that has yet to come. A ball of green energy begins to form within the center the spinning blades' circle. Marcus' eyes widen in the realization of what's to come. He rushes forward as fast as one with a giant axe can go, but he's too late as a beam shoots out and hits Marcus. His aura almost being knocked into the red, while Penny's is a quarter from being in the red. He struggles to stand up even with the assistance from his axe. He looks at Penny and notices her preparing another attack to finish him off. A shadow falls over his eyes as he stands. He runs at her with his axe at the ready. As another beam shoots out towards him, time stops. He rushes forward and begins attacking. Each attack upon succession with followed up by another. As 10 seconds pass, time resumes and Marcus, swings in a diagonal motion. Effectively killing Penny
