Brendon slammed his phone down on the table furiously, running his hand through his hair soon after. "Why the fuck isn't she answering, Dallon?!"

He shrugged, continuing to scroll through Twitter. "I don't know. Maybe it's because she has a life and work to actually focus on. By the way, did you ever call your boss back?"

Brendon rolled his eyes, beginning to pace around the room. "You're never any help. I don't know why I keep on inviting you over." Dallon sighed, looking up at Brendon for the first time over the course of the hour he had been there.

"You asked me the same question last time. Try inviting Spencer or Ryan over. You can't just keep calling me cause we see different things. Different views on things."

Dallon stood up, tugging his jacket on. "Give me a call, if you go insane like you did last time. I'll bring the bandages."

And with that, Dallon walked out of the house, leaving Brendon in his thoughts. He looked down at his phone, tempted to call her for about the thirtieth time today.

Groaning, Brendon picked up the phone, then dialed her number. As the phone rang, he walked into the kitchen grabbing a glass to fill with water.

"Hello?" His eyes widened. Brendon didn't think she was going to answer him. "Ella, where have you been?! I've been calling you all day and you had me worried sick!"

She cleared her throat, taking a deep breath in. "I've been busy with work and running errands for some of my teachers. I can't always answer your calls."

Brendon placed the glass on the counter, clutching it until his knuckles turned white. "What do you mean? I will always answer when you call me."

Ella scoffed, switching her hands, so she was holding the phone in her right hand. "I don't like you, Brendon. In fact, you're a liar! I know that you had something to do with my dad's house catching on fire. Once I find out, I'm reporting you to the police."

She hung up, causing Brendon's jaw to drop. He clenched his jaw, then growled. Brendon eyed the glass he had placed on the counter, then picked it up.

He scanned it for a second, then threw it against the wall. "Fuck!" Brendon breathed in and out heavily as an idea popped into his head.

"If she can't see that I love her and that I would do anything for her, maybe I should just show her."
