Business was as usual at BigHit Entertainment. The hustle and bustle of an office peppered the hallways, phones ringing like birds calling out to one another were all you could hear, campaigns were being negotiated, and decisions finalised.

Yet amidst all this business and money making, Jin was indifferent to it all. He stoicly walked into the dedicated half lounge - half workspace that was the BTS room, he was the epitome of nonchalant, albeit the tiny wrinkles of disgruntlement across his lips.

This area was built for the boys by Bang PD after they had won their first national award. A personal space to retreat to in their place of employment. They had hardly used it though. As aside it being used as waiting room for between schedules, the band would either be on the road or in the studios. And if they had time to rest, they would have just gone to their apartment and sleep.

The dated decor reflected the neglected nature of the room. Trophies from a couple years back, and personal items left untouched. Like the couch cushion in the shape of a cartoon corn abandoned by Tae, or the jar of questionable candy that was definitely expired.

The hyung couldn't find RM anywhere else in the building and he hadn't answered his calls.
He had definitely come in to work, but all the managers insisted that he hadn't left yet. This was the only place he could think of. The only place where his presence wouldn't be accounted for, bearing no witnesses or staff besides members.

"Hey." Jin thought that was a good place to start. He had wanted to speak to Namjoon ever since that night of the gala, but hadn't been able to have a private conversation with him.

The rapper nodded in acknowledgement of his presence. Not saying much else, you could tell he was also worn out by certain unspoken factors. RM was collapsed on the couch, slumped from his usual stance of purpose and determination.

"I know you've been avoiding me Joon."

The leader scoffed at Jin's statement, an ironic smile plastered across his face. "No, I just know what you're going to say."

"If you're so smart, tell me. What was I going to say?" Jin challenged, arms crossed, unimpressed.

"You're going to tell me how stupid I am, and how I'm being unfair to Y/N.." A dry laugh left the rapper's lips. "Don't you think I already know all that?"

Namjoon was right. They were almost exactly what Jin was going to say, verbatim. Jin felt a tinge of guilt in his heart from this. He was about to rebuke Namjoon over things the rapper had been punishing himself for. Something he had clearly been tormented by.

Suddenly, as if the fates would have it, Jin's phone rang. From the music, he knew immediately who it was, and he had no intention of taking the call.

"Isn't that your girlfriend's ringtone?" Namjoon's right eyebrow shot up. His asymmetric anatomical features announced his confusion. When his question was met with silence, Namjoon continued with the next obvious question, "Aren't you going to answer that?"

The eldest sighed, before seating himself across from the other member, deflating the corn pillow as he did. "Not that it's any of your business.. I'm mad at her, so no, I'm not in any mood to entertain her."

Namjoon knew better than to press his hyung when it came to his relationships, so he stopped talking. As a result, this conversation came to an abrupt halt.

The deafening silence between the two was again interrupted when another phone rang. This time, it was Namjoon's that vibrated against the glass table.

*Call Incoming*
Jihye

After the third buzz didn't faze Namjoon, Jin matter-of-factly asked in retort .
