Chapter 21 - More Painful

Sorry for the delay I've been struggling with this chapter for a while now, but I ended up dividing this chapter into two, which means you'll get another chapter straight after this. It was just getting a bit long and I felt could do better as different chapters.

"Do you have feelings for Y/N?"

Jungkook's eyes were deadset. His determination unwavering. He needed to confirm this with his hyung.

The way he talked to her, looked at her, there was definitely something more to it.

Namjoon let out an uproarious laugh, his warm breath visible in the freezing winter night.

"Where is this coming from Kook?"

"I know you say you're just friends.. but.." The maknae hesitated as he didn't want to give his true feelings away too much. "It just seems like you're more than that.."

The leader sighed as he thought about his dongsaeng's words. He was right. Whenever he was with her, it just felt right. He couldn't explain it.

Did he like her?

He wasn't sure.

The one thing he's been sure of all this time was that Jihye was the only one for him, even if he didn't know where she was right now.

I can't forget her. I just can't let her go.

"Well.." Namjoon sighed again. Something he was doing a lot lately. "She's just being a good friend to me.. I mean you know how hard it's been for me since Jihye left.."

Trailing off, he had hoped to convince Jungkook.

"But then why are you out here?"

The rapper froze as he heard the question he dreaded the most.

As much as he didn't want to admit it, his chest was blistering. Seeing Yoongi and Y/N passionately all over each other like that.. it stung. But he knew he had no right to say anything. She wasn't his girlfriend, they weren't dating.

She wasn't his.

He even clearly stated early on, that he didn't care who she kissed and that they wouldn't. But after all the times they spent together, all the times they made each other laugh, all the times he fell asleep next to her, he wished so badly that it was him kissing her tonight. That day in the recording studio, he wished she hadn't stopped him, he wanted to show her how much she meant to him.

His silence speaking loudly, Jungkook echoed his hyung's sigh.

"I don't want you to get hurt hyung," He smiled a half smile at Namjoon. "You can't just pretend like nothings wrong when you see her.. Who knows what she's up to with Yoongi now.."

"Well I don't care what she's doing with Yoongi right now."

An obvious lie.

"What if she has feelings for you?"

"No," Retorted the rapper, stopping this delusional game of 'what if' between him and Jungkook. "If anything, she likes Jimin.. I'm certain."
