The direction Ryn had followed from the night before in which Therese was heading happened to be further east, deeper down the countryside.
Without the help of Lincoln, she decided to do it all on her own; she felt it in her guts that she would be able to find the idiots.

Every gas station, diner, and pub along the way they would stop to inquire.
Some residents were helpful while others were plain rude, but in the end just as she'd assumed, Ryn was close on Therese's tail.

They had stopped at a gas station where they filled up the tank of the SUV, while also using the restrooms and flexing their aching joints.

"Geez, I'm now seeing the extent of the damage to your car," Harper stressed examining the dents and scratches on the right side of the vehicle.

"Don't worry about it though, old Lucille here's gonna be fine," Ryn said tapping the car and Harper laughed.

"You named your car Lucille?"

"Yes, what you don't think it's a good name?" Ryn asked with a hint of mischievous in her tone and Harper couldn't help but laugh again.

"Lucille and Eilleen, two good ones."

"Still won't tell me yours huh?" Ryn asked after Harper had stopped giggling.

"Hell no. It's not as old as yours but I hate it."

"Hm. What can I do to make you tell me?"

"Nothing," Harper smiled and Ryn fought all urges to softly kiss her lips.
She didn't know what it was but ever since she'd met this girl she couldn't control her thoughts around her.
And the longer they were together the harder it was for Ryn.

"I can do anything you want." Ryn retorted with a smirk.

"Anything you say?"

"Absolutely, you just say the word and I'll do it."

"Alright," Harper replied and as they were getting back into the car Ryn noticed how stiff her body was.
After all, she understood why they'd been driving almost the entire day and having to sit in one position all the time would affect anyone after a while.

"You alright there?" Ryn asked after seeing the discomfort on Harper's face.

"No, my body's killing me. My back hurts. I'm just praying for this hunt to be over with so I can relax. I'm tired of sitting in this car for so long, no offence by the way."

"None taken. How about I help you with that?"

"What?" Harper looked confused as ever.

"Let me help you with that. I can give you a massage, or maybe not."
Ryn dragged out the latter quietly after realizing that Harper found her offer to be absurd.

"Why would I want you to give me a massage, do you even know how to do that?"

"Okay, geeesh you don't have to be mean about it. I get it, you don't need my help."

"Wait, I'm sorry I didn't mean to make it sound like that."

"Sure."

As they drove to find a place to spend the night, the sun had almost ducked under the horizon completely.
The colours left behind were all so magical that both girls couldn't help but stare.

"You don't get to see that often do you?" Ryn broke the silence to ask and Harper jerked her head around to study her face.
The orange-reddish tang of the setting sun was cast onto Ryn's face and it's there that Harper almost couldn't believe how breathtaking she was.
