Prompt: The first 'I Love You'
"Still working?" Amaya asks as she approaches her girlfriend in the engine room.
"Yeah, I'm sorry. It's gonna be a long night for me. Go ahead to bed, I'll see you in the morning." Zari sighs as she looks up from her tablet.
"You sure? I don't mind staying." Amaya offers.
"I'm sure. Goodnight, Amaya." Zari smiles softly as she pecks Amaya lightly on her cheek.
"Night, Zari." Amaya hums as tucks a piece of Zari's hair behind her ear and walks off.

Amaya is slowly drifting off to sleep, but when she turns her head to see the other side of her bed empty, she sighs
"Gideon, could you patch me in to the engine room?" Amaya asks.
"Of course, Ms. Jiwe." Gideon replies.
"Hey. Everything okay?" Zari answers.
"I miss you." Amaya pouts.
"I miss you too." Zari says.
Instead of continuing the conversation, Zari begins to draw out step by step her repair to the engine and Gideon's mainframe. Zari does this to softly lure Amaya to sleep, allowing her calm voice to edge her into a restful night of sleep. When Zari hears the soft snoring from her girlfriend she smiles.
"Love you, Maya." Zari whispers to herself.
"Love you, too, Z." Amaya mumbles back.
