First, he tilted his head like he was looking at the mushrooms on his left.
Then, he looked at me, but not directly, just oh-so-slightly from underneath his lashes. Holding his gaze, he coyly smiled from the corner of his lips so that small dimples appeared.
But when I started to mimic his smile, he looked away again. This time to his right, and his smile faded.
Now I was fixated. I couldn't look away, I wanted to see that smile again, and just when I was getting desperate, he looked over. His gaze still coming from underneath his lashes, and his face never directly at me. His lips parted, barely over a whisper. When I parted mine to match his, a glass shattering smile was on full display. Proudly telling me he's succeeded.
"Son of a bitch." I gasped.
"Pretty good, huh?" He smirked as he raised his eyebrows. "Mr. Worldwide Handsome doesn't play games."
"Alright, keep it in your pants," Rolling my eyes at his confidence, all he could do was laugh.
"Or... An easier, more straight forward way is this." Without warning, Jin wrapped his arms around me, his every muscle cradling me like I was a nesting bird. He was so warm and strong, his natural scent subtly mixed with rosewood, yet so divine. His hugs were always so welcoming; I could honestly drown in them.
When he pulled away, Jin left barely any space between us. It was only far back enough so I could clearly see his expression. He was flashing his coy smile again, and looking directly (but not directly) at me. Biting his lip, I realised he was looking at mine, and that was driving me mad. My heartbeat accelerated and I had barely enough time to register before realising he was leaning in.
"Sunbae-" I squeaked. But he ignored me and continued.
"Jin Sunbae, I'm serious.." And that's when I realised he wasn't stopping.
Using all my might I shoved him hard, as he recoiled and banged up against the far shelf, I shouted. "What the fuck was that?!"
All Jin did was cackle, laughing at how serious I was taking this. "That, was some secret Mr. Worldwide Handsome magic."
-
I officially needed a break from this game.
I was freezing, and I wasn't sure if my nerves could take any more of it. Storming out of the walk in fridge, I exhaled as I breathed in a big gulp of non-frosty air. I forgot how warm it was in the kitchen in comparison, and the heat was a welcomed change.
"Alright, who's next, I've had two turns already." I said matter of factly.
Receiving simultaneous complaints from the others, I excused myself to the bathroom, because surely that valid reason meant no one was going to follow me right?
After using the over the top marbled ladies room, I made my way towards the grand ballroom again. Not being able to find anyone else, I headed towards the coat room. The alcohol had infiltrated my bloodstream, messing up my systems, so I was ready to call it a night.
Unsurprising of my luck, the coat checker was no longer there, and a wild Jimin appeared amidst the rows of outerwear. He was in a partial state of undress, from what looked like a wine accident. The magenta splatter across the front of his shirt, screamed 'Hanna did this'.
"Date not going so well?" I teased, causing him to fully swivel towards my direction.
"I'm glad you're concerned." He smiled softly. I had instantly regretted acknowledging him, as when he turned around, none of his buttons were in its rightful place. His opened chest reminded me of the time we had in the elevator.
