Part 58- Girlfriend

Ruby's POV

I woke up in the morning still cuddling Dani. I looked up to see she was awake and looking at me. I smiled sleepily.

"Morning" she said, smiling.

"Morning" I smiled.

"Do you want me to let go?" she asked. "I can honestly, i'd get it"

"No, no" I said shyly. "Please don't"

She smiled.

"It's ok" she said. "I won't then"

We stayed in that same position for about another hour. A part from a few short conversations, we remained in a comfortable silence, which I really liked.

After a while we got up and ready. Dani packed her things as I started making the bed.

"I can help" she smiled.

"No honestly it's ok" I smiled, finishing it.

After Dani finished packing, her phone pinged. She looked at it.

"My mum's here" she smiled. "She's here to drive me home"

"Oh um ok" I said, trying my very hardest not to show my disappointment.

"I'll text you" she smiled.

Last time Dani was about to leave I kissed her. I did want to kiss her, but I wanted it to be more than a kiss. I wanted something bigger to happen. Something more special. I liked Dani. I really liked her.

"Bye" she smiled and walked to my bedroom door, getting ready to open it.

I needed to do it.

I wanted to do it. So badly.

The want made the need be so much more powerful.

"Dani wait!" I said suddenly.

She turned around to face me, looking confused.

"Yeah?" she asked, looking perplexed.

"Um...." I said.

"Ruby what is it?" she asked.

"I um" I said, being too nervous to get my words out.

"Ruby, I really need to go" Dani laughed. "If you want to tell me something you really need to do it now"

I needed and wanted to do it. Right at that very moment.

"Be my girlfriend?" I asked, blurting it out. "Be my girlfriend, Dani?"
