A cheerful look brings joy to the heart, and good news gives health to the bones. Proverbs 15:30
You've heard the saying, "When Mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy." There's a lot of truth to that saying, because one person can easily change the attitude of a whole family-whether it's the mother or someone else.
At home, a mother has a lot of emotional sway, but it's the same in a church, office, or another gathering of people. One complainer can do a lot of harm. One person with a grudge can spread it around in a matter of minutes.
As a Christian, you have no excuse for becoming a whiner and complainer. Instead of destroying an office atmosphere, brighten it up with a smile. Share some good things that are going on (or the good news of Jesus) during your lunch hour.
That way people won't want to avoid you-they'll decide you're healthy to be around.
Lord, even when I don't have a lot of good news, help me stay positive. After all, I have the best news in the world-that You died to save sinners like me.
