But let every man prove his own work, and then shall be have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. For every man shall bear his own burden. Galatians 6:4-5 KJV

Once you graduate and go out into the world, peer pressure lessons, although you will always have some pressure from the groups to which you belong-work groups, church groups, social groups, and so on. At this point in life, though, you have more groups to choose from, and their demands are more moderate, so you have more freedom. You have the chance to "reinvent" yourself. A shy high school student can choose to speak out in a new group. A follower can become a leader, or a leader can decide to take a break.

Now is the time to become the person you've always thought you could be. Carefully choose groups with whom you want to associate. Assume responsibility for your own actions and take pride in the way you live, "for each one should carry his own load."

Lord, now that I have the freedom to be whoever I want to be, help me make wise choices. I want to live a life I c an be proud of, and I know You have something special in mind for me.
