Part 51 - Monday part 4

Start from the beginning

"You don't have to get embarrassed by what sir said Sahana... I think that he feels the day is wasted if he doesn't shout at atleast one of his subordinate!! And that too at a meeting.... Arush sir never ends a meeting without shouting at atleast one person, don't worry" Nihal said bracingly, smiling at me.

"Yeah well he has always been like that.... you know how at Maata Kaali's puja or something they do this bali dena thingy?! Bali ka bakra?! Well, Arush sir needs a bali ka bakra at every meeting of his, don't worry too much about it okay?" Prisha said, patting my back.

What with everyone giving me sympathetic looks and what they thought to be words of comfort, it was a long time before we all left the meeting room, and my phone had constantly been buzzing with messages, which I'm sure was from Arush.

Telling everyone that I'd better move a few of my stuff to Arush's room, I took the immediate necessaries from my cubicle and hurried off to Arush's cabin, entering it only after he told me to come in.

As expected, Arush was glowering at me, that vein in his temple was pulsing visibly, and I gulped audibly.

"I'm sorry... got held-up by the others.. " I began, but he put his hand up, wordlessly telling me to stop talking.

I put the contents in my hand at the free end of his table, which was away from the door, and turned to face him, who glared at me.

He stood up suddenly, making me jump, and I looked at him in shock as he started walking towards me. Involuntarily it seams, but I started moving backwards, till my back hit the wall behind me, and Arush continued to move forwards, till his body touched mine.

Putting his arms on either side of my head, Arush smirked at me, as I gulped audibly, feeling extremely nervous before clenching my eyes shut.

"I'm not a hungry lion and neither are you that hungry lion's prey" he said softly, making me slowly open my eyes.

He had bent to my level, and his nose was touching mine, his breath fanning my face, as he looked intently at me.

"No.... but you're a fire-breathing dragon" I said and to my amazement, he burst out laughing, giving me the rare treat of finding the highest level of handsome my boyfriend can get - yes the image of him laughing heartily!!

"Dragon am I?!" he asked huskily, putting his arms around my waist and pulling me closer to himself.

I nodded my head coyly, bending my head and fiddled with the buttons of his shirt. Using his index finger and thumb, Arush lifted my face by my chin, making me meet his intense gaze.

"So what's this dragon's food?! Your lips is it?" he asked softly, nuzzling against my cheeks.

I bit my lip in embarrassment and looked away as he kissed the top of my head.

"Well let's just say for now that this dragon can be very possessive about you" he said in a very possessive voice, tightening his grip around my waist.

"Why Arush?! I'm already your's!! I haven't found anybody who could make butterflies burst in my stomach just by the way they smile!! And you make my insides squirm like never before just by your intense gaze and that smile... why do you fear loosing me?!" I asked, cupping his face and looking deep into his eyes.

"Really?! My smile gives birth to butterflies in your stomach?" he asked, sounding gleeful.

"Is that all you took in?" I asked, pouting a little.

"I have the habit of not taking in words that don't please me" he said, winking and making me roll my eyes.

"But still... I didn't know that Sagar was flirting with me, and in any case it's not like I'll go and marry him!" I said, caressing his cheek.

"One thing that you should know about me is what's mine is mine forever... I don't like people touching what's mine... and you're the most special thing I've ever had... I won't let anyone even think about you, forget looking at you or even taking you out on dates!" he said seriously.

Though I never understood why people get so possessive, or how they get so possessive, yet the thought that I meant so much to him and that I was so special to him felt very endearing to me, and I couldn't stop myself from hugging him tightly, resting my head on his chest.

Maybe he was slightly taken aback by my gesture because he didn't hug me back immediately. But soon enough, he tightened his grip around me and kissed the top of my head before resting his chin on top of my head.

"I had read somewhere that a guy should be so tall that his girl's head should just reach the guy's chest. Do you know why?" he asked, kissing my temple.

"So that the girl's head can form like a resting place for the guy's chin?! A form of support or something?" I said, inhaling his musky cologne.

Arush let out a deep chuckle before saying "Hmm yes maybe, but the actual reason is that when the guy hugs the girl, and the girl puts her head on his chest, she can listen to his heartbeat and know how much she affects him.... the guy's heartbeat would obviously be loud and quickened with his girl in his arms... the girl would get to know how much she affects him"

Pondering over his words, I snuggled closer to his chest, only to hear how Arush's heartbeat too felt quick and loud.

"My head too reaches to your chest level and I can actually hear your heart thumping loudly" I said, giggling.

"Exactly" he said, and with my eyes going wide in shock, I pulled away from him to look into his eyes.

"That's the effect you have been having on me from the time I saw you for the first time Sahana" he said seriously, his beautiful orbs gazing intently at me.

I was dumbfounded with his words... completely speechless!! That's the most beautiful thing someone's ever told me!!

Without thinking much, I stood on the tip of my toes and placed my lips on his - the best way I could tell him how much his words meant to me!
