Paradise

I avoided everyone yesterday, even my parents. I locked myself in my room and was planning on what to do today. Wait, shit! Today's my first day of work. Ugh, I can't miss it. Whatever, I'll have to sneak out without anyone noticing me. I didn't do my regular morning jog today. I spent all night crying for hours and listening to sad break-up songs. Briana and Lindsey knocked on my door yesterday for hours but I never opened it. I didn't want to talk to anyone.

I got up from bed to check myself in mirror. My brown hair looked like a bird's nest. My mascara and eyeliner was smeared all over my face. My eyes on the other hand were in a darker shade of blue than usual. I was also still wearing the same outfit from yesterday.

My stomach grumbled. The last time I ate was breakfast from yesterday. I had skipped lunch and dinner yesterday. I was too depressed to even eat.

How could I have been so stupid. Sam was cheating on me and I didn't even know. When all this time I had clues and proof. I trusted him. I loved him, but all this time he never cared. He probably never even felt the same way. We've been dating for almost 6 years. He was my first boyfriend and I hoped and prayed my last.

"Abigail?" someone had said while knocking on the door. It was Sam. I walked towards the door and opened it. He looked normal, his hair spiked up as always and his outfit was obviously bought from some rich store.

"What do you want?" I sighed. Did he not know that I knew he was cheating on me? He looked confused almost hurt by my words, but I didn't give a shit.

"What's wrong? When I came out of the bathroom yesterday you were gone. Actually everyone was. I had to take a taxi," he said. He was so fake. I'm pretty sure he spent the night with that girl Emma or should I say slut 2.0.

"Why didn't you just ask Emma for a ride?" I asked. I could feel tears coming.

"Emma? What are you talking about?" he asked.

"What am I talking about? Do you think I'm stupid or something Sam!" I screamed into his face. He stepped 2 steps back.

"Abigail...Emma is just a friend," he said trying to reach for my hand but I moved it away.

"Sure she is. How long have you been cheating on me?" I asked him in anger. My tears quickly flood my eyes and fall down my cheeks. "I trusted you Sam!" I scream.

"Who told you? Did Tyler?" he asked.

"This doesn't have to do with Tyler! Don't bring him up in this conversation!" I scream once again. After what felt like 10 mins I said, "Why don't you just leave," while pointing the way out of the hall.

"Abigail, please. I never wanted to hurt you. I love you. I have always loved you. It's always been you. Remember, me and you forever," he said. He looked like he was gonna cry.

"Sam...I don't want to hear anymore of your stupid lies. Just leave. If you really love me, leave," I said staring up at him since he was a lot taller than me. "Leave," I said pushing him down the hallway.

"Does this mean we're over?," Sam asked. I ignore him and push him down the stairs, towards the main door so he could leave. Before he leaves I answer his question which makes his jaw drop.

I quickly shove him out and slam the door shut. I turn around and see my Mom. Her icy blue eyes were wide. They looked almost afraid. I ran towards her wiping the tears off my face. I hugged her tight and she hugged right back.

"Oh my poor, baby Abigail," my Mom whispered in my ear.

"Mom, I don't know what to do anymore," I cried. My tears were slowly rolling down my cheek and dropping on her shoulder.

"Oh, Abigail. Do you know what you should do?" she said pulling away from me. "Forgive, move on then forget," she said giving me a small smile.

"Mom, it's not that easy," I said giving her a small but fake giggle.

"I know honey. I've been through these kind of situations before. So, trust me. I know what I'm talking about," she giggled. I then embrace her in another hug.

"I love you Mom, so much," I whispered.

"I love you too Abigail," she whispered back. "You should go get ready for work. You look like crap!" she said and I couldn't help but laugh.

"Mom!" I laughed and gave her a kiss on the cheek and ran upstairs to get ready for work. I decide to wear a plain white top and some denim shorts. I open the door to see Tyler sitting on the wall across. His hair was all messed up like he hasn't took a shower in days. He then looked up and gave me a small smile.

"Tyler? What are you doing here?" I ask him as he stands up.

"I'm here to apologize," he said grabbing my hand and I allow him. He had some power on me. I kinda knew why but it was impossible and weird.

"Tyler, what don't you understand of me not ever wanting to speak to you again," I ask him looking away.

"Abigail, I can't do that. No matter how hard I try," he cried grabbing my face with both of his hands.

"Tyler," I said looking into his beautiful brown eyes. I couldn't stand his eyes.

"Abigail, please forgive me," he cried.

"Tyler, can we please just talk about this later. I've just been through a major break up and right now I'm trying to avoid drama," I said. He chuckled and let go of my face to put a strand of hair behind my ear. I couldn't help but blush. I couldn't stand being mad at Tyler. It was impossible, but I wasn't just going to forgive him. "I have to go to work," I said.

"You've got work now?" he smirked and I giggle a bit.

"Bye," I waved and left for work.

*Restaurant*

"Hey, Mr. Murphy! Sorry I'm late," I said waving to my new boss. The restaurant was already filled mostly of teenagers.

"Don't worry Abigail," he smiled. "You can go in the kitchen to get your uniform." I quickly walk to the door that says "Kitchen" and below it "Employees Only". I open it to see a guy with short brown hair. He looked awfully familiar.

"Hey! I'm new here and I was just wondering where do I get my uniform?" I asked as he turned around. When I saw him my eyes grew wide and my jaw dropped.
