It was now the 3rd day in New York and we were having a great time ,yesterday we went shopping since New York was famous for it and then we had dinner and watched movies ,we had a great night too *wink*
Today shawn had a meeting so I decided to go to time square . the lights,the people it was amazing I was so happy to be here,i texted shawn asking him how his meeting went ,I felt it was a bit weird since we left a few days early it was Monday and the conference wasn't until Wednesday but I just ignored it.
'Hey shawn how was your meeting ,I think I'm going to head back now' he replied straight away 'hey,it's actually still on it's really important ,are you sure you want to go back yet it's still early' it was 5pm and I still wanted to visit Brooklyn bridge 'OK your right I'm going to walk around a bit' 'what time will you be finished!' 'I should arrive back at 6:30,I just don't want you to be alone in the hotel' 'that's so sweet of you I'll be back then'
So I went to Brooklyn bridge took some photos that I posted on Instagram and headed back since I was a bit far from the hotel,the taxi was long because of traffic so I was going to be a while,
Shawn's pov I was so nervous i had to tell Lydia that I had a meeting luckily she wanted to go somewhere leaving me plenty of time to set everything up. Now I have to wait.
Lydia Finally I arrive back dropping my bags on the ground it was 7 mow and the room was empty I saw a box laying on the bed with a note on top
'Hey beautiful I have a surprise for you so put these on to look even more beautiful and meet me on the roof terrace '

They were beautiful and fit perfectly ,it was cold so I wore a cardigan and headed up not knowing what was about to happen on the roof .

The air was so refreshing which felt so good because i had a bit of a headache so it made me feel good. I walked further out onto the balcony which was set with a table and chairs for dinner ,sofas and an amazing view I walked over to the glass barrier and looked down over New York ,I turned around as I found a presence behind me and there what I least expected shawn on one knee I smiled as he took my hand .
'Lydia you look exquisite ' 'thank you shawn you look very handsome and this is all so beautiful ,but why ' he smiled and looked into my eyes I'd never seen him so nervous yet excited .
'Lydia , that day I met you in the hospital I was love struck and you trusted me and you looked so beautiful and you were so strong on getting back on your feet ,when you left I thought that was it but then I saw you in the cafe and I knew it was fate ,I've known since day one that you are the one this is it for me,you are it for me,I want the be with you everyday and I don't want stupid things to break us apart...
