Renjun scoffed.  "If we're being logical, then I'm the only logical one here.  If something was bothering you, why would you run to another guy?  Why would you let another guy hug you and kiss you when you have me?  Why do you never tell me anything but then expect me to be there for you?  I can't do it anymore."

"I'm good enough!" you argued.  "I've been through a lot, and my past keeps coming back to haunt me.  I've known Taeyong for a really long time, so whenever I feel down, I go to him."

Renjun laughed dryly.  "Is that so?  Date him, then.  I can't let you play with my emotions like this.  You don't really like me.  If you liked me, you wouldn't always shut me out.  It's over."

He walked away, leaving you to translate what he had just said.  It's over?  No, he couldn't possibly leave you.  You were his everything.  He couldn't just throw you away that easily.  He couldn't throw you away like your father had.  You weren't just upset, you were angry, too.  You ran to the girls' bathroom, locking yourself in a stall and crying into the sleeve of your sweater, trying to stifle your sobs.  After a few minutes, you emerged from the stall, your mascara smudged around your eyes.  Your sad, teary-eyed expression stared back at you in the mirror.

Slowly, you rolled up one of the sleeves of your sweater, staring at the small scar that ran along your forearm.  Usually when people asked you about it, you would tell them you fell or you earned it while heroically defending your team's goal during a soccer game.  You remembered the pain almost like it was yesterday.

Where was your dad?  He should have been home two hours ago.  It was your 8th birthday, and your dad was supposed to bring home a cake and presents.

"What's taking him so long?" your mom paced the kitchen.  She had already set the present she had gotten you on the table, and she could tell you were getting more and more anxious with every passing second.

The sound of keys jingling jarred you from your thoughts, and the front door swung open.  Your father stood there, but with no cake, no balloons, no present.  He held two beer bottles instead- one in each hand.

Your mother rolled her eyes and left, unable to handle your father in his current state.  That left you with him, and he lurched in your direction, frowning.

"Did you forget it's my birthday?" you asked slowly, backing up.

Your father laughed.  "It's because I couldn't forget your birthday that I couldn't stay out gambling and drinking with my friends.  You want a present?  Here it is."  He threw the beer bottles at you, and you screamed in pain.  A shard of glass had lodged itself in your forearm, and you slowly pulled it out, but the gash was deep.  Blood ran down your arm, and you tried to hold back your tears.  Your father turned on his heel and disappeared out the door he came from.  You sank to your knees on the cold kitchen floor, feeling as broken as the beer bottles at your feet.

Tears welled up in your eyes.  You ran after Renjun, grabbing his wrist, but he pushed you away.

"What's done is done.  If you have issues, then you should deal with them before dating someone," Renjun stated plainly.

You had never felt so alone before.  Even though you had your friend Taeyong to run to, he was an adult, now.  He had a job and an actual life in the real world.  You couldn't keep bothering him every time you felt sick to your stomach.  Renjun was gone, too.  He had always called you his princess and hyped you up.  He gave you all the attention you deserved, but now, all that was over, too.  You sat with some of your friends in class.  Even though you had them, you felt so alone.

That night, you went out with your friends to a club.  You let them dance and have fun while you sat at a booth, drinking your memories away into oblivion.  But no matter how much you drank, you couldn't forget your father or Renjun or the other men who had made your life a mess.  Your head throbbed, and your throat burned from all the shots you had poured for yourself.  As your vision slowly faded out, you smiled.  Why couldn't they see?  It wasn't your fault you had issues.

A/N:  This was one was so intense wow!  Thanks @hajirahssk for requesting an angst Renjun imagine.  Parts of this honestly brought tears to my eyes.

Question of the imagine: Sometimes I also feel so alone even though I'm surrounded by my friends, and I always wonder why I feel that way.  But I'm so thankful for my friends for always standing by my side and making me smile.  So what's the nicest thing a friend has done for you?  For me, I was really upset recently, so my friend made me stay at her apartment, and we binged a lot of episodes of Meteor Garden together.
