You came down from your room above the fashion studio, groaning as your bandage side ached every time you breathed.  Sitting down in front of a project you were working on, you replayed what had happened yesterday in your mind.  You remembered how Ten had seductively whispered in your ear, and you blushed right down to your toes.  But then again, finding out that the superhero Ten had been next to you all along was an even bigger shock.

The door to the fashion studio opened, and he stood there.  That blonde hair of his tousled yet perfectly styled.  He wore the same smile as he did everyday when he came into work.  Except now, he was no longer your colleague but an enemy you were in love with.  And now he knew exactly who you were.

"Hey," Ten started slowly, and you stared hard at the ground.  "Can we go back to the way things were before?"

You sighed, using all your strength to face him.  You felt embarrassed at the sight of him.  He was a superhero.  He did good things.  He saved the world.  Meanwhile, you ruined it.  You caused chaos beyond belief.  You felt ashamed of yourself.

"I don't think I can," you admitted, turning around and continuing to work on the hem of a dress.

Ten knew that you were probably feeling uncomfortable.  He didn't want you to feel that way.  He pulled up a stool and sat down next to you.  "Can you tell me why you're a villain?  I just want to know the story.  And then the next time you'll see me is when we, um, you know, fight."

You smiled a little.  "I didn't really have a choice.  My parents were villains, and their parents were villains, and let's just say this history goes back a few generations.  I grew up knowing nothing but destruction.  There were times I didn't feel like being bad.  I wanted to do good things, but can you imagine me breaking that long history of villainy?  I'll only be able to stop once I'm strong enough to defeat that part of myself."

Ten could you see you struggling.  He listened to your story and felt worse and worse as time went on.  "So, you don't want to be a villain?"

"Not exactly.  My dream job is actually to be a doctor.  I know that I can't outright go against my family to save people.  But doctors save people, too.  I would still be doing good, but it would be in disguise."

Ten was intrigued.  "So then why are you sitting around here?  Being a fashion designer?"

"Because villains destroy, and heroes create.  I'm taking small steps forward by creating designs," you explained.

Your phone rang and you pulled it out, the display reading your mom's name.  Reluctantly, you took the call, putting it on speaker.

"I have a manicure appointment today, so I need you to flip the Eiffel Tower upside down for me.  Love you, Y/N."

You hung up, your face dark.  "This has been my past, present, and future.  My parents call me whenever they want me to do something.  And if I don't do it-" you cut yourself off, rubbing the scar on your wrist.

Ten realized this was more serious than you made it seem.  But he couldn't really do anything to help you out of your situation.  What he did know, though, was that once you built up the courage to throw your villainy away, he could help you.

You pressed on your earrings, and your ordinary clothes transformed into your jumpsuit and cape.  "I guess I'd better go flip the Eiffel Tower upside down," you frowned, and Ten almost laughed at how casual you sounded.

"Y/N," he called just before you walked out the door.

You turned around, your eyes glinting with tears through your mask.

"The day you decide to use your powers for good will be the day I can start protecting you."

You quickly took off and flew into the air, letting those words soak in.  You smiled, knowing that one day when you were strong enough, you and Ten could save the world together.

A/N: Alright, so here is the third and final part of New Heroes!  I really enjoyed delving into the world of fantasy to write these, and who knows?  Maybe you'll some more soon!

Question of the imagine: What is something you never thought you could do but finally accomplished??  For me, I never thought I would ever put my writing out there.  I was scared that no one would like what I wrote.  And now here we are!  I've made so many friends through Wattpad and have gotten to share my stories.  <3
