"I don't know what to do with him."

Me and Ronnie are sitting in the bathroom. I'm on the vanity and she's on the edge of the tub. I'm surprised the bathroom door still locks from the amount of people who have been waltzing in and out of here. A couple knocks/bangs on the door and Ronnie is at everyone's throat.

"It's OCCUPIED." She more or less screams at the door, hoping to scare off the drunk teenagers who I'm sure desperately need the toilet. We've already been in here for five minutes. We're definitely being mean.

"With Ashton?" I bring my attention away from the door and back to Ron.

"Yes, with Ashton."

At first, when she dragged me into the bathroom, I was absolutely terrified Ashton told her everything about the lake. I knew she would rip me apart for it and accuse me of trying to get with Ashton but luckily, she doesn't seem to have any knowledge of that. Otherwise, we wouldn't still be talking. Besides, I would absolutely kill Ashton if he told her.

"Did you guys make up? Talk at the very least?"

"Yeah... well, we talked. He wants to make things work. He said he's sorry."

"Sorry for what?" I say without thinking. I quickly cover up my snooty tone and rephrase. "I mean... did he apologize for everything?"

Ron looks at me for a moment before shrugging and putting her head in between her legs. I silently curse at Ashton. We made a pact to not come crawling back to Ron. She had to come to us.

What a weakling.

Ron groans dramatically into her knees before whipping her head up to look at me. "He wants to leave. To talk..."

"Leave? Like, leave the party?"

She nods slowly. Great. She's leaving me at another party. I want so badly to roll my eyes at her and tell her to do whatever she pleases because she's a fricking diva. But instead, I smile at her and say, "Go."

I mostly do it for Ashton. He loves her and I'd be selfish to sabotage that. As much as I enjoyed having him hate her for the time being with me, I miss us. The trio.

"I'm going to head out soon anyway... I'm tired. Your house is unlocked, right?"

"Yes. I'll walk with you if you want."

"No, that's fine. You go. I'm going to stay here for a bit." I lie. I'm leaving the second I exit this bathroom.

Slowly, Ron gets up and nods. "Theo?"

"Hm?" I scoot my butt off the counter so I'm back on my feet.

"Thank you... for being so much more than I ever deserved."

I'm straightening out my shirt when I stop, my face shooting up to meet hers. I'm at a loss for words. Ronnie has never said anything like this before. I can feel emotion build up inside of me and I swear I could cry right here right now.

"Ronnie..." I say, but I am quickly cut off by her choking me again with one of her embraces. As annoyed as I am with her right now for leaving, I am truly thankful for this moment.

Sudden loud bangs shake the door, making us both jump.

"FUCKING OPEN." A muffled, but very drunk voice comes from out in the hallway.

We both look at each other and laugh before opening it. Not making any eye contact with angry people outside the bathroom, we scoot away as fast as we can and head to the kitchen where Ashton is.
