-Sephy P.O.V-

‘YEAH, OF COURSE, FRIENDS X’

For a while I stared at my phone screen as the ‘sent’ message came up seeing nothing.

‘Sephy.’ I looked up slowly to see Tabby striding towards me purposefully, a slight frown on her face. Confused, I slid my phone into my shirt pocket and stood up, dusting grass off my skirt.

‘Hey Tabby, sorry I didn’t go meet you guys, I wanted-’

‘What the hell do you think you are doing?’ I stared at her shocked, she had practically growled.

‘Just, texting...’

‘What are you doing with Adam?’

‘What? I, I’m helping him, if that what you mean. He asked me-’

‘And I thought you knew him more than that. You know he gets desperate, and when ideas get to his head he’ll use them no matter how stupid they are.’

‘But, it was my idea!’

‘I know the whole girlfriend idea was yours Sephy, but I’m talking about the fact that he picked you.’

My eyebrows rose, ‘is that wrong?’

Tabby glared at me, ‘do you really wonder why Nick is always so pissed off with you? When you’re acting like that Sephy-’

‘What are you trying to say Tabby?’ My voice was thick with anger and helplessness. That hurt. It really did.

Tabby was silent for a moment, her lips twisting and her eyes watching me. ‘I can’t believe you didn’t tell me,’ she said, her voice was void of emotion.

‘It wasn’t for me to tell. I thought Adam would tell you anyway. When he was ready.’

Tabby flinched, ‘if he’s ready enough to tell you, he’s ready enough to tell me. I’m his fucking twin sister Sephy!’

‘Well I’m sorry he didn’t-’

‘Shut up! You like all the attention, don’t you?’ My jaw dropped as my heart squirmed, it couldn’t take much more.

‘What attention?!’

‘You know Sephy,’ her voice was venomous, ‘all the stuff with Nick, Nathan, and now Adam? My own brother, you know he looks up to you, always has... So now you’re sucking him into your little web.’ I couldn’t speak. Tabby carried on. ‘If you don’t like Nick just dump him instead of moaning to everyone like you did with Andrew, instead of lapping it up. If you really don’t like Nathan like you’re trying to convince everyone, don’t lead him on, because I’m pretty sure he likes you. And with Adam, just leave him alone. Please. Your stupid idea has only made everything worse for us. Have you noticed Adam isn’t at school today? Do you want to guess why?’ I shook my head. ‘He locked himself in his room today but made me promise to come in to school. He wanted me to apologise to you for making you do your idea. He thinks he is in the wrong in kissing you and telling you he loves you. He is getting depressed over all your attention-seeking shit.’ Tabby burst into tears as her knees went weak and fell into my arms. My own tear ducts began to sting and soon enough the necklines of our jumpers were soaked.
