When the elevator doors opened at the ground floor, lumabas na yung grupo ng mga lalake. Lalabas na rin sana ako pero pinigilan niya ako.

"Why?" He pushed the button to close the elevator door and punched the floor numbers. It was in random order. "What are you doing?" I asked.

Natapos siya sa pagpindot ng number 8 bago sumagot. "I'm punching a code. Doon na tayo sa bababa sa exclusive parking floor ko."

Hindi ko lubusang naintindihan yung sinabi niya kung hindi ko iyon nakita. Pagkapasok namin sa exclusive parking area niya, nanlaki ang mga mata ko sa dami ng sports car at luxury vehicles na nakapark sa floor na 'to.

"Lahat 'to sa'yo?" Hindi ko maiwasang itanong sa kanya.

"Yes," simpleng sagot niya bago lumapit sa isang itim na range rover. Sumakay ako sa passenger seat nang pagbuksan niya ako ng pinto.

I can only imagine how much each car costs. Kung nagawa niyang bilhin ang lahat ng 'to, sigurado akong hindi birong halaga ang kinikita ng triad.

"Can I have a clue of how much is the net worth of the assets placed by the triad under my name?"

"Legal or illegal?" He asked while driving out of the parking way. I was surprised that he's driving out of a secret passage. Sa common driveway ng parking ang labas niya but you won't even notice the space where we went out since it was hidden at a corner.

But legal or illegal? Hindi ako aware na may legal businesses ang triad. Wala pa akong naririnig na triad group na may legal businesses.

Or maybe they are using it as a front? Para kapag dumating ang oras na magkahulihan, may mapagtataguan sila ng mga assets ng triad.

"Both?" Alanganing tanong ko sa kanya.

"You have fifty nine million dollars of net worth placed for the legal businesses. Eight hundred eighty-eight billion for the illegal... That was your assets the last time I checked which is three weeks ago. One thing for sure, mas malaki na sa mga halagang binanggit ko ang mga assets na nakapangalan sa'yo."

My eyes widened when I heard the amount of the assets I'm owning! I'm a freaking instant trillionaire! Masarap sanang ipagmalaki kung hindi ko lang alam kung saan galing ang mga halagang iyon.

"Seryoso?"

"You're prying for details tapos hindi ka maniniwala. You shouldn't have asked."

Napalabi ako, "sungit naman. Pero seryoso talaga 'yun?"

"Why are you so surprised of that? Our businesses doesn't solely operate at a single country or continent. We're operating worldwide. If you're going to think about it, we should be talking about trillions kung hindi hinati ang assets sa mga clan elders at sa mountain master."

"Nabanggit na sa akin ni Shaun ang tungkol sa mga clan elders. Ano bang role nila sa triad at bakit kailangang bahaginan pa sila ng mga kinikita ng triad?"

"The clan elders are considered to be the protectors of the triad. Their connections from all parts of the globe was the main reason why they were considered as one of the vital members of the triad. Technically speaking, hindi sila 'miyembro' pero isa sila sa mga dahilan kung bakit nakakapag-operate kami sa buong mundo ng walang problema."
