Even though, both of the twins made a big impact and made their names known in the capital, their father didn't even care about his two exceptional and intelligent children. They were his flesh and blood, yet he treated them like they were disgusting trash.

[Zariyah's POV]

My half sister, Veronica was turning five today, now we the first family of the Duke was invited to his 'precious' daughter. I and Arwin don't have the tiniest interest to make an appearance to that daughter of our ignorant and irresponsible father. I was opposing to the idea of making our appearance, but mother told us that even though we don't want to be their, our presence were important, as it was a sign of respect.

Because we didn't want mother to be embarrass in front of the nobles, that's why me and Arwin come up with the same conclusion and decided to go and attend Veronica's birthday.

Arwin didn't see Veronica as his sister, same for me. the only sibling I have is no other done Arwin. I don't even like the idea of that duke having another family. It's so disgusting. Men only take women for granted. As if their emotions and feelings were not important to them. can't the men realize that women don't want to share what belongs to them.

The thought of bubbles burst into nothingness when our names were called. And as we walked in the expensive red carpet, we held our chin high; we stride with grace, elegance and poise.
