Chapter 26 - To Be Loved 🔥

"Yeah, I know how you feel.." Hanna muttered under her breath.

Before long, the brownies were ready to go. Hanna stayed until the end to help her crush meticulously wrap the present he was going to give her friend for Valentine's Day. When she came back from the bathroom, Hanna went straight to the kitchen to say good bye to Jungkook. After all, it was late. She was surprised no other member had returned home yet.

"Here," Jungkook said, his face lighting up as soon as he saw her. "Happy Valentine's Day."

In his hand was a box smaller than the one he made up for Y/N, but just as pretty. A silver lined box, with a little red ribbon, and a card with a note.

"Umm.. what this?" Hanna was extremely confused.

"Your present! For you know.. helping and dealing with me all day.." he smiled proudly. "Take it."

"What? When did you—"

"Stop overreacting, its just a little thank you present with the leftover brownies.. Just take it." he insisted, pushing the box into Hanna's hands.

"Well.. umm.. thanks.." she managed, every part of her exposed skin hot with embarrassment. "I just.. um.. didn't expect it.."

Now she was blubbering like a school girl. "And I didn't even get you anything!"

"It's alright, stop being so weird about it! It's just a thank you present."

He was right. She needed to calm down. They were a last minute thank-you present. Leftovers from today. She didn't need to be shy about it.

Hanna was a little annoyed at herself now. She wished she had gotten him something like she originally planned.

"Hey Jungkook," thinking on her feet, she swabbed some leftover brownies dough from the bowl and attacked his right cheek with it. "That's your Valentine's Day present!"

"What the—?!"

He now had a brown line coming down from his ear to his jaw and Hanna couldn't stop laughing. A smirk suddenly played on his lips and he went for the dough the same way Hanna did.

"Oh no you don't!" But it was too late, she now had a matching stain on her face. She gasped mockingly before sticking more of her fingers in chocolate, attempting to retaliate.

Suddenly, Jungkook grabbed her wrist, his other hand against the kitchen counter they had just spent hours using. His body lining up with Hanna's, he made sure she wasn't able to move.

"Okay well that's just not fair.." Hanna said before realising how close they were to each other. Jungkook's waist was pressed against her torso, and she could feel the edge of the bench top digging into her lower back.

Pulling her hand towards him, he put her chocolate stained fingers in his mouth. Sucking on it and licking it clean, even playfully biting her fingers as he finished. Hanna gasped inaudibly at the nibble. His warm mouth around his dainty fingers.

"There," he said before meeting Hanna's eyes, his expression playful and primal at the same time. "No more chocolate.."

Seeing the look on her face, Jungkook realised how inappropriate things have quickly become and abruptly backed away. Coughing in the process to break the silence. The fact that they were alone in the dorm was suddenly magnified, and they both realised how things could have easily escalated.

"So umm.. What's going on with you and Jimin hyung anyways?" The man blurted, clearly trying to move on from what had just happened. "How come you're spending so much time with him?"

"Why are you asking?" Hanna teased trying to sound unfazed by his whole existence. "Are you jealous of me?"

You could hear the uncertainty in her voice. The shakiness that revealed how vulnerable she just was with this delicious excuse of a man.

Not able to read between the lines or realise just how much power he had over this woman, Jungkook shot a 'bitch please' look to her that caused another round of laughs.

"Well long story short, he's actually been helping me with this guy I like." Hanna was very careful to not reveal the identity of her crush. "And the day some photographer caught me leaving the dorm at night.. I had just realised he had feelings for someone else.. and some other things happened.. So Jimin oppa was actually just being a really good friend.."

"Wowwww 'Jimin Oppa' huh?"

"Shut up, believe it or not he's been extremely nice to me."

"No, I believe it.." Jungkook beamed with pride as he talked about his hyung. "I don't know if you know about Suga hyung and his ex.. But after all that happened, Jimin was the one that helped him put the pieces back together.."

"Really?" That part she didn't know about. "I mean, I heard from him that Yoongi oppa was cheated on but he didn't say anything about what happened after.."

"Yeah, well anyways, it's not my story to tell.. But the guy you like?"

"I don't want to talk about it," Hanna turned away to hide her blushing face. She couldn't believe her crush was interrogating her about about himself.

"Fine," Jungkook shrugged indifferently, "He's an idiot anyways for liking someone else.. I mean any guy would be lucky to have your attention.."

Rolling her eyes and laughing nervously at the irony, Hanna grumbled quietly. "Tell me about it.."
