I'm trying to forget that I'm addicted to you

Dezi's pov: 

My grandparents came there and the 4 attackers run away. I don't even know if my mom was still alive or not. I heard her screaming a lot and me and my sisters cried a lot while we were hiding in the car. Grandma took my sisters and she put them in the car. They fell asleep. I was too worried about my mom so I waited outside with my grandma. She called the police and we were waiting for them to come too. I hope my mom is ok. Her phone was pinging and I saw there were 2 messages on Facebook for her. The first one was from Amber. I opened it up.

"Hey are you there yet? I'm worried. It's been longer than 16 hours now and we haven't heard from you yet. Please text me if you are ok. Love you."

I texted her back "My mom was attacked. We don't know if she is ok or not. We are waiting outside. My grandpa went to go look."

She texted back with crying emojis. "Oh no...."

The other one was from Jamie. I just discovered my mom has a boyfriend. "Hey baby. Are you safe? I'm worried. We haven't heard from you."

I texted back "My mom was attacked. We don't know if she's alive."

"Are you and your sisters ok?"

"Yes. My sisters are asleep in the car and we are waiting for my grandpa outside."

"Ok. I hope your mom is ok. Let me know."

"I have to go my grandpa is coming."

My grandpa came out of the house with my mom in his arms. She was brutally attacked. You couldn't even see her face or body as it was covered with blood and scars. She was unconscious when my grandpa carried her out. Just when he did the police shows up and they told my grandpa to take my mom to the hospital. And they went inside the house. We got in the car and drove off to the hospital. Seeing my mom like that really hurts me. 

We got at  the hospital and the doctors took my mom to the emergency room. My grandpa followed them and we were waiting outside in the waiting room. My sisters were half asleep. But I was wide awake. 

We waited and my grandpa came back.

"What did the doctors say?" my grandma asked.

"They are keeping her here in ICU. And now we pray that she will make it. It's a matter of time now."

"God please safe her." my grandma said crying.

"Lets go home and get the kids in bed."

We left the hospital and went to my grandparents house. 

I took my moms phone and I let Amber and Jamie know what was going on.
