I'm trying to forget that I'm addicted to you

My alarm was going crazy on the bedside table. I suddenly wake up and look at the time.

"Oh no. No. No." I overslept.

If I don't get up on time we have to rush everything.

I rushed out of bed and quickly went to the bathroom. I rushed back to my room and opened up my closet. I pulled out my clothes for work and got dressed.

Hustling with getting my shoes on, I went to the girls room. And put the light on. 

"Waky,  Waky." I said while getting their clothes ready for school.

Luckily I already put them out. So I just put it on their beds. 

Then I pulled the blankets off of them. First one was Holly.

"Holly, time to wake up. Hurry. We're gonna be late." 

I went to Dezi's bed and did the same.

"Lets get some team work please. Up. Up. Up." 

"Aww.." Dezi said while waking up.

Lizzie was already sitting up in her bed. I went to her and picked her up. I took her clothes and walked to the door.

"Come on. Get dressed." I said when I walked out of the room with Lizzie in my arms and I went to my room.

I put Lizzie down on my bed and dressed her. Then I took the hairbrush and brushed her hair. Making neatly pigtails. Soon she was ready and I put her on the ground. 

"Mommy will come get you soon." 

I walked to the girls room and saw the other two was dressed, sitting on their beds half asleep.

"Ok lets do your hair." I took the brush and brushed their hairs. Holly I made a ponytail and Dezi braids. Dezi thinks she's the tiny Elsa, from Frozen. She loves Elsa. So her hair must be like Elsa's hair. Braided.

"Lets go get some breakfast."

They all followed me down to the kitchen. While I was brushing my hair.

In the kitchen Dezi grabbed the milk out of the fridge and Holly got bowls out for them. I put in the cereal and milk and some sugar. Holly and Dezi went to sit down and ate their cereal while I took Lizzie and sat with her at the table, feeding her. 

"Here comes the airplane. open up wide." I said while feeding her.

All done we put the bowls in the washbasin and I wiped Lizzie's face clean. 

We went back up to the bathroom to brush our teethes. I put on my make up and brushed my hair neatly. 

We were all done and ready to go. The girls got their bags and off we went out of the house.

I buckled them up when they got in the car and off we went to their school. I dropped them off at kindergarten. And then off I was to work.

I work as a admin lady at NWU (North West University). 

Suddenly my phone starts pinging. It was Facebook messenger. I took my phone out of my handbag and saw it was from Amber.

"He did it again..." she said in her message.

"What happened?" I replied.

With our time differences it was hard to talk at the same time sometimes.

"He hit me again." she replied with a crying emoji. 

Luckily she was still on. 

"Where are you now?" I replied.

"I'm with Jamie. I didn't think he would answer. I called him not thinking he would. But he did." she replied.

"Oh... Good." I replied. 

"I can't take this anymore Lena... " she replied with a sad emoji again.

I looked at the message and I could see in her words that she is hurt. And I replied to her.

"Come visit me. Just for a few weeks." 

"You want me to come visit you?"

"Yes, just for 2 weeks or whatever. Get away from him for a while. And I can use some company. I feel alone sometimes. Just think about it please." I replied.

"Ok. I'll think about it.... Jamie says hi." she replies.

"Oh..." I replied. I didn't know what to say exactly.

"I'm sorry. I wasn't thinking... Anyways I'm tired. Night Lena love you."

"Night love you too." I replied. And then put my phone down. 

I thought to myself. 

She's with Jamie... I haven't heard from him for months and all he can say is 'Hi'.

He can't even talk to me himself? What is up with the 'Hi'.

And this one song just came to my mind and that moment. I'm going to translate it cause it's Afrikaans. The words of the song are...

With the pain in my heart at that moment these words just came to me of this song.

'If you fall. Fall on your knees. If you break. Try again. Even when it hurts. Just know that He was broken for you. He will keep you standing.' It was a song they wrote for the farmers here in South Africa. It means that Jesus will keep you up even when the darkest of times are surrounding you. 

I wiped the tears away. And just sighed. And got to work.
