67. Star Crossed Lovers and Other Strangers (Season 1, episode 16)
Rory and Dean's 3 month anniversary reveals some interesting truths about how Lorelai's romantic failures have effected her daughter. Unable to tell Dean how she really feels, Rory gets dumped. Called to action by, believe it or not, something that her mother said, Lorelai starts to rethink things with Max. Rachel's arrival also allows us to see a more vulnerable side of Luke, as well as a more jealous side of Lorelai.
High points: Rory and Dean's date is the perfect example of a cheesy high school romance. Though it must bring back an awful sense of deja vu for him, Richard allowing Lorelai to climb out the window is a good scene between the two of them.
Low points: The guy that Emily tries to set Lorelai up with is legitimately creepy and makes the scene downright awkward to watch.
