73. Swan Song (Season 3,episode 14)
Lorelai takes a weekend trip to New York with Alex, Sookie, and Jackson to see the world's most terrible play. In the mean time, Jess goes over to Emily's for dinner with Rory and shows up with a black eye afte rbeing attacked by a swan. Rory immediately assume it came from a fight with Dean, and both of them are at their most obnoxious. All Jess would have had to do is say that he didn't have a fight with Dean, but he couldn't do that, and all Rory had to do was stop making assumptions, and she couldn't do that either. But the scene with Jess and Luke going swan hunting with a ladle is priceless.
High points: Jess and Luke, the musical that they write
Low points: Jess and Rory at their most selfish and dysfunctional.
