Razor blades across my skin
How long has it been
To bring you down to this
The blood drips
You think of all the frustration
Your mind gets away from it all
You find yourself laughing
And no one knows at all
For all they know
You jumped a fence
The last that you remember is getting scratched
Your lips tell the lies
But the ones who know
They know the cries
Of the one without hope
So they turn to you
Your eyes meet with a stare
How am I important to people who don’t care?
They take their breath and give you a shy
Smile that last for a real while
They stand to you
And hold out their hand
“It’s okay we’re on the same level, man.”
“So don’t turn away,
Take our hand
Because we’re here to help you take your stand.”
Against it all
You don’t have to anymore
We’re here to listen
And we hear you
So take our trust
Put it in your hands
And recover that heart that’s been beating unsteady
It may not purify it
From all its dread
But it can get that beat on the right track
And listen to us all
We’re here for you
Treat us like you so desperately wanted to.
Exactly like you
