Chapter 24 - A Man Too🔥

Leaning in to whisper something in my ear, Jin's grip was still firmly around my wrist. "You'll do well to remember that."

After he said those words, I could feel him finally letting go. Allowing me to stand back up. he turned around and continued cooking like nothing had happened.

"I'm.. I'm sorry sunbae." I muttered as I walked back to the bathroom.

Washing my face, I mulled over what had just happened. The pounding in my chest had yet to slow down, mirroring my short breaths.

Despite him being my friend, I really still shouldn't have walked around him half naked like that. I think with all this 'Eomma Jin' perception I have of him, I forget how much of a man he still is. Not to mention how sweet he's been with me through everything.

When my phone beeped of an incoming text message, I had assumed it was a work related one from the director-nims. Turns out, it was from Taehyung.

Had a sleepover at Hyungsik

It's alright.
You didn't have to text me just for that!

His timely message made me smile, and as if on cue, there was a knock on the door. I opened it and found a neatly folded pile of my clothes, just as Jin sunbae promised. Getting changed as quickly as possible, I didn't want to be potentially late.

As I stepped out of the bathroom I was greeted by a gummy smiled rapper.

"Hey," He said, voice dripping with confidence.

"Hey.." I smiled back, thinking back to the last time Yoongi and I had talked. Mind you we didn't really do a lot of talking the last time we were alone.

"Listen, I had a really good time that night we played truth or dare.." He started.

"If you did," I retorted before Yoongi could continue. "..why haven't you called me?"

"I'm sorry.." He looked a bit disappointed in himself. "I wanted to do it right.. and I just couldn't bring myself to do anything that might hurt you. Especially after.."

He didn't need to finish his sentence for the both of us to know he meant the night he choked me.

"Y/N, I'm really sorry." His deadpan eyes unwavering. "I shouldn't have done that. No excuses. And I don't expect you to forgive me.."

"It's alright," Reassuring him, I gave him a half smile. "I didn't think I would either, but I guess somewhere along the line.. I already have.

Suga smiled at my words of forgiveness, his shoulders relaxing in relief.

"Look I know this won't begin to make up for everything, but I did have fun with you that night.. and I'd like to get to know you more." He hasn't stopped smiling through all this and it made my heart tinkle. "I mean I don't really care.. But if you're not too busy.."

Revealing what he had hidden behind him this entire time, he presented me with a card. I opened it up to reveal an invitation.
