Rewrite the stars

"Oh my gosh! What a pleasant surprise, Donny!"

They were screaming when I entered the Kia Theatre. What? Is it wrong to see her perform? Like, everyone around me knew I like her.

As we arrived, the show started. This is really her concert. From the concept down to the songs. Really, Kisses.

I stared at her while singing. Wow, she really knows how to charm everyone. And here's my heart, screaming, you are worth it, Kisses! You are more than enough!

Timo's smirking at me. "Damn, smitten."

I shook my head. "Whatever."

He laughs. "Lol, look at you Dons. It's too obvious."

"What?"

"It's too obvious, Donny." My father said.

"Dad! Pati ba naman ikaw?"

He shrugged. "We'll I like her for you."

"I like her for myself too, Dad."

Timo and my father laughed so hard. Buti nalang at malakas ang music dito, God. This is so embarrasing kung nagkataon.

I saw she laughs for her Kisses and Tell, you really deserve all the happiness in the world, baby. Someday, they will regret why they let go of you. But, I won't be like them. And I wanted to tell her, "baby girl, keep smiling! 'cos I got your back, no matter what happens."

"I think, she will never be the same." Timo whispered, enough for me to hear. "From what she's been through."

"She has trust issues, Timo." I answered.

He smiled. "I know, I remember you once told us na she always questions herself is she's worth it."

I chuckled. "I wanted to do everything to erase that painful experience. But, I don't even know where to start."

He shrugged. "Don't ask me, I don't have lovelife."

I laughed so hard. "You always make me happy, bro."

He punched my shoulder, "Whatever, Dons. Just be patient with her, orbs. She'll moved on from her past, anyway." 

I sighed and whispered to myself, "Her feelings for him might be gone but the scars are still there."

"Right, but the scars are still there for her to remember her worth and someone over here wants to take away all the pain." Timo said.

I looked at him and he just shrugged. My forehead creased, how come he heard me? He's so nosy sometimes rn.

I saw her moves, it's like telling us that's she's finally free from all of her doubts and insecurities. I saw how her smiles screaming, "I am now free from all of my worries!"

"Look at her moves," Timo said while staring at her, "She really is happy. You can tell from here that she's not overthinking anymore."

I smiled, "I am so proud of her."

"I know, you wouldn't drag us here if not." My father said. "I think she's really worth the wait, huh?"

"She is, dad. She will always be." I said while staring at her with a smile with my a smile on my face. "I am willing to wait for her dad."

He taps my shoulder, "Free her from further pain and hurt, anak. I'm seeing your Mom on her."

"I did see mama on her, dad." I said. "That's why I can't stop myself from being inlove."

"Inlove?!" Timo exaggerated it. "God, you are inlove?!"

"Sssh! Someone might hear you! Ano ba!" I hit his head. "Napaka-daldal mo."

"Sorry, okay? I got shookt?"

I shook my head. "Just don't tell anyone."

Timo just shrugged and resume on watching Kisses. It's her prod number with Tony Labrusca. They danced rewrite the stars, as I'm watching them there is a sudden pain on my chest. 

I closed my eyes and let myself broke from the reality. I can't see her being stared and carrying by another man. No, I can't..

For the longest time now, I saw how she's been patient and forgiving to others. No matter how big or small they done to her. I saw how she's willingly given multiple chances to them. But in the end? They just turned their backs on her. And I never heard her complained or she never questioned them. Rather, she questioned herself for the things she has never done for them. 

"So who can stop me if I decide
That you're my destiny?"

Now, seeing her performing with this huge crowd, I know to myself that she is too excited  because for the longest time, they were have been controlled. She was been controlled for not having the rights to talk to Edward. She was not allowed to be seen near him, of course, I know that she wanted to be there for him but she just can't. They lost their freedom. It felt like they have lost their identity.

I know, I always knew. The moment I got close with Kisses, she told me everything. From the very beginning up until now. I know how badly she wants to get in touch with them, but their fans doesn't want it. Why don't just they let them live just like before? They have been doing the things they wanted, isn't enough for them to give the freedom they have wanted from the start?

Timo elbowed me and I got back to the reality. "She's acknowledging everyone, you might have a shout out."

I shrugged. "So assuming of you."

Before he can talk, we were both shookt. I mean, she did! She mentioned my name!

"Hi, Donny!"

"Shookt?!" Timo said.

"Thank you for coming!"

And then Timo went wild beside me. "Ooooh! So assuming pala ako? Eh, she mentioned her special friend."

"Shut up, Timo." I hissed.

God, my heart is not cooperating with me. The speed of my heart, shit. I can't contain my feelings! How can she pulled that stunt? Knowing there are too many people here. I shook my head while smiling.

"Let it out, orb." Timo said and teased me. "Baka mautot ka diyan."

I just shook my head and said, "No one can stop me now. We're bound to happen, and I'll make sure of it."
